A haunting problem
I''ve got a problem that I have ignored for a month or 3 :-) I''m almost certain this is not a Shorewall problem, but I''ll share it anyway ;) I have 2 ISP connection, with load balancing. here''s some routing stuff: rama-kandra root # ip route show 202.37.230.64/26 dev eth2 proto kernel scope link src 202.37.230.93 192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel

Nagios on CentOS 4.5
First off I am a linux / CentOS newbies so go easy on me. Just curious if anyone out there is running Nagios on CentOS 4.5. I have now installed it on a second server due to issue but the issues have come back to haunt me. The OS is running on an IBM NetVista. Every thing in both installs is identical as are the problems. Once I have Nagios up and monitoring every thing hangs. Even a terminal will hang before it finally just locks up. The only thing that brings it back is a reboot. Even stopping the services...

turn off NBT
Hi, I tried to turn off Netbios over TCP/IP by adding this to [global] session in smb.conf disable netbios = yes After restarting samba smbd is still listing on TCP 139. Is this normal? Or did I missed anything? Thanks. Regards, Dil Lee __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? http://bb.yahoo.co.jp/

plateful of crow (was Re: Frequent reboots...)
...would've been warmed up before I had to eat it. > "nevermind" This is so weird. I went to the latest stable, which turned out to be 4.9 RC-something, and my system started hanging. Then when I went back to 4.8 it kept on hanging. Turned out to be a disk going bad. Maybe 4.9 is haunted, maybe its daemon has gone rogue and started eating hardware. :-) -- Fred Gilham gilham@csl.sri.com If you hold a controversial position you will draw controversy and its cousins: denunciation, dislike, etc. It's the price you pay. tkentry that exits after RETURN?
I can set up an entry widget (thanks to an old post by Barry Rowlingson) that gets a password and exits when the user clicks on the "OK" button. Anyone have any clever ideas for returning/ destroying the window when the user types a carriage return/ENTER in the text window? I've messed around a little with validate, validatecommand, but don't see any obvious way to do it ...

backdoor by authorized_keys2 leftovers
...gain, because I wasn't aware of the file's existance on the server and use by sshd, since this "backward compatibility" isn't documented, not even a historical reference about "obsolete" or "deprecated". Maybe it's time to drop the old stuff not to get haunted by such leftovers again. Thanks, regards, Rado -- ? Rado S. -- You must provide YOUR effort for your goal! In fact, we ought to think about creating factories for everything. Bare new/delete usually comes back to haunt one later on. I'll get what I've got working and checked in. I'm not sure I'm ready to go and change everything to CallInst factories given the tons of other things I've got to work on. The iterator and one-argument constructors appear to cover 99% of the cases and the two-ar...

a frightfully newbish question about dragdrop.js
...ges. I''m mostly a server-side PHP guy, so please pardon the level of ignorance about Javascript. I''m having some strange problems, and right now, I''m trying to localize whether the problems are generic browser-things or whether it''s my machine (called "the haunted voodoo laptop" by my coworkers, so I''m betting that it''s not REALLY a code problem) First: using FireFox 1.0.4/win2k (and previously 1.0.3 - I reinstalled it yesterday to see if that helped..) the dragdrop demo page on script.aculo.us doesnt drag/drop. and returns these er...

In particular I'm looking to become familiar with both general compilers and the LLVM to be able to do a project for next year's GSoC. I'll start by compiling the code and haunting this list. Header problems
Hi, I don't know if this has been covered or not as I have been out of action most of the last few weeks getting married and stuff. My query / slight problem is when I re-install an IMAP client or change client all mails that have been read so far show an empty header with the date set back to 1970 but the mails are fully readable. New mails that weren't read in a previous client show
