Ruby vulnerability?
Hi,
FYI, Red Hat released an advisory today about a vulnerability in Ruby. So
far it doesn't appear in the VuXML, but am I correct in presuming it will
soon?

Seperate Incoming calls on TDM02?
...business. I know that for a
DID the routing is simple but I'm not seeing where I can match up a
DID with a Zap channel.
I'm currently looking into the zapata.conf file to do this as it is my
understanding that the control can be taken care of there. My system
is running A@H 1.5.
Help!

1.9.0 regression test on HP-UX (PR#6800)
...#39;t
get it to make (make came back with numerous unresolved symbols such
as dtrsl), so I'm just using the gnu compilers. I guess that setting
the loader search path would get round this, but for now at least the
gnu compilers will be good enough.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Always forward an extension?
...I need to be able to pick up an internal extension and have
it call a local phone number.
This is call forwarding, I know - the question that I have is how do I
set it up so that the extension always forwards. There will never be
a client logging in to it.
Thoughts, experiences, ideas?
Thanks!

PicTeX output: how to suppress escaping of $ signs and braces?
...with backslashes.
I've tried a couple of things that "help(Quotes)" hints at, like
replacing the double quotes with single quotes or backticks, or
explicitly escaping the $ signs with backslashes, but none of these
things seem to help.
Any ideas, please?

Asterisk@Home connecting through firewall/router
...ll of the ports
listed on voip-info.org and even have gone so far as to put the box in
as the "DMZ" on the DLink.
At least on the FreeBSD install of * I could get connection. Is there
something on Asterisk@Home (latest release downloaded this morning)
that I'm missing here?
Thanks!

Selecting outgoing trunk based on extension number
....
I haven't got a problem with adding custom stuff to the extensions-custom.conf
that AMP provides, but I just don't have a clue what to add!
If anyone has any ideas or can point me in the direction of some suitable
documentation, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

recompile sshd with OPIE?
...# cd /usr/src/secure/usr.sbin/sshd
# make obj && make depend && make all install
but somehow define OPIE or, I think, include the configure option
--with-skey=PATH, or both.
Can this be achieved within the regular system build process, or must I
roll my own?
thanks,
joel

Printing NT to Linux w\Cannon bjc-4000
I am able to see my printer as a share. Well better put, I see four
representations of my printer: ascii, lp2, lp-mono, and raw. I tried
the naive thing and just selected lp2 and added the cannon bjc 4000
driver for NT. This didn't work. I get an error report:
%%[ Error: undefined; offending Command: K ]%% . . . a bunch of strings
that I don't understand. This does not look like the

Anyone using fuse and/or sshfs under Centos 4.4?
Hi
A search of google failed to show any prebuilt rpms for sshfs and fuse.
I do see that fuse support is in 2.6.14 kernel which isn't a whole lot of
help.
Before I dive headlong into this has anyone successfully built fuse/sshfs
against Centos 4.4.
If so would you share your experience?
Thanks

A few questions
Hi,
I have a couple of questions about MeetMe and call queues. I'm still
pretty new to Asterisk, but already having to write a Service Center
call manager for it (which I might add, our director has agreed to make
open source!).
MeetMe:
How can I get MeetMe (does it even do this) to ask the user to speak
their name first, and play that as the new member announcement. It seems

Dovecot 1.0.01 / Outlook error 0x800CCCD2
Hi.
I'm having a problem with a user running outlook 2003 against dovecot 1.0.1.
A second user works fine and I haven't moved on to create a third (or more
yet).
On a send and receive I get an error from outlook

Problem rebuilding glibc for xen
I would like to rebuild glibc specifically with the -mno-tls-direct-seg-refs
to allow better performance with Xen.
I'm using Centos 4.2 x86_64 on an Athlon 3200+. I'm using the
2.6.9-11.106.unsupported kernel for reiser support.
My thought was to download and install the SRPM and then rpmbuild with no
changes to make sure it works before adding the above flag.
Unfortunately, the

Purging old mails
Hi all,
Firstly if this is a FAQ and I've missed it - let me apologise in advance.
I use dovecot as a backup mail store and would now like to purge all mails
over a certain age.
Is it as simple as using find and rm'ing the results or is there more to it?
I'm using maildir if that make a difference?
Thanks in advance.

Colored asterisk -R?
Hi folks,
when I start asterisk directly, I get a colored CLI. When connect to a
already running asterisk with asterisk -R, it's never colored, despite
I'm running both from the same console (tty). Is there a way to force
asterisk -R into color mode?
Regards,
Stefan

TDD over Asterisk
...a setup for a company that needs to be able to handle
TDD/TTY calls for the hearing impaired. Is there anything special
that I need to consider for this?
We're looking at an Asterisk solution for them, the tones need to be
stored in the IVR as well as coming across extensions.
Any thoughts?
