[PATCH net-next 1/2] vhost_net: mitigate page reference counting during page frag refill
We do a get_page() which involves a atomic operation. This patch tries to mitigate a per packet atomic operation by maintaining a reference bias which is initially USHRT_MAX. Each time a page is got, instead of calling get_page() we decrease the bias and when we find it's time to use a new page we will decrease the bias at one time through __page_cache_drain_cache(). [PATCH RFC v2 0/4] vdpa: decouple reset of iotlb mapping from device reset
In order to reduce needlessly high setup and teardown cost of iotlb mapping during live migration, it's crucial to decouple the vhost-vdpa iotlb abstraction from the virtio device life cycle, i.e. iotlb mappings should be left intact across virtio device reset [1]. For it to work, the on-chip IOMMU parent device should implement a separate .reset_map() operation callback to restore 1:1 DMA

[RFC PATCH 00/24] Control VQ support in vDPA
Hi All: This series tries to add the support for control virtqueue in vDPA. Control virtqueue is used by networking device for accepting various commands from the driver. It's a must to support multiqueue and other configurations. When used by vhost-vDPA bus driver for VM, the control virtqueue should be shadowed via userspace VMM (Qemu) instead of being assigned directly to Guest. This is

[RFC PATCH v1 00/34] VM introspection - EPT Views and Virtualization Exceptions
This patch series is based on the VM introspection patches (https://lore.kernel.org/kvm/20200721210922.7646-1-alazar at bitdefender.com/), extending the introspection API with EPT Views and Virtualization Exceptions (#VE) support. The purpose of this series is to get an initial feedback and to see if we are on the right track, especially because the changes made to add the EPT views are not small

[RFC PATCH v6 00/92] VM introspection
The KVM introspection subsystem provides a facility for applications running on the host or in a separate VM, to control the execution of other VM-s (pause, resume, shutdown), query the state of the vCPUs (GPRs, MSRs etc.), alter the page access bits in the shadow page tables (only for the hardware backed ones, eg. Intel's EPT) and receive notifications when events of interest have taken place
