Problem with .First.lib while running R CMD check
...c", pkg, lib) invisible() } Per an earlier suggestion from Kurt Hornik I tried ./configure --enable-shared when building R-devel (I'm running on Debian linux unstable/testing (Knoppix 3.4)) but this did not fix the problem. The Hmisc.so file looks like: ~/R/Hmisc.Rcheck/Hmisc/libs harrelfe:ls -la -rwxr-xr-x 1 harrelfe harrelfe 37524 2004-05-31 18:31 Hmisc.so Under R-devel I can source('~/R/Hmisc.Rcheck/Hmisc/R/Hmisc') with no errors. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Frank -- Frank E Harrell Jr Professor and Chair School of Medicine...

Help understanding why glm and lrm.fit runs with my data, but lrm does not
Fixed 'maxiter' in the help file. Thanks. Please give the original source of that dataset. That dataset is a tiny sample of GUSTO-I and not large enough to fit this model very reliably. A nomogram using the full dataset (not publicly available to my knowledge) is already available in http://biostat.mc.vanderbilt.edu/tmp/bbr.pdf Use lrm, not lrm.fit for this. Adding maxit=20 will

Help using Hmisc / Latex
Dear R users, I'm trying to automatically generate a *.tex file with the output of an OLS estimation. Some people suggested to use the latex function on the Hmisc package. I'm having a bit of trouble to properly specify this function (I'm not a very experienced R user). Below you will find an example, of what I'm doing. ## Annette Dobson (1990) "An Introduction to Generalized
