[LLVMdev] Publication at ISCA 12- Harmony: Collection and Analysis of Parallel Block Vectors
Hi all,
Please check out our recent ISCA publication that introduces a new
performance profiling technique for analyzing parallel programs along with
an open source tool to collect the profiles. The tool is written into
LLVM's LTO. Could someone please add the paper to http://llvm.org/pubs/ ?

[LLVMdev] News on vmkit
Hi,
It is possible using Harmony - http://harmony.apache.org
instead of classpath? Harmony has Garbage Collector and class lib.
And is there any plan port it to win32?

[LLVMdev] News on vmkit
Hi everyone,
vmkit had two major improvements recently, so I guess I should let you
know :).
First, it does not require to patch llvm. So you can use your llvm TOT
with it. There are some not-required arch-specific patches in case you
encounter problems when executing large applications. These should be
mainly for ppc external symbols and x86 SSE. Please post to llvm-dev
your test-case if

Re: Logitech Harmony Remote Software (7.7.0) Fails to See Remote
Just noticed that in the support section of the Harmony Remotes, you can now download version 7.7.0 instead of the earlier 7.6.0.
No visible changes for the Harmony One wrt functionality. Still only 24 favorites for TV channels, still no favorites for listening to the radio.
Did anybody else noticed some changes ?

Beginners question
Dear list,
I've been messing around with coding functions in R and it just won't make
sense to me.
Running my analysis by hand on command line is fine and works but because
of the repetitive nature of the job I would like to code a function for it.
My problem:
I would like to read in data from a file in my current working dir.
so my code would look like:

Embracing .99
We're stuck on RHEL 4.x, so we're currently working on a plan to live in
harmony with .99 for another year or so. With that said, the plan is
below. Let me know if you have any other recommendations.
[ ]Convert to high-performance mode vice high-security to reduce overall
resource usage.
[ ]Implement iptables throttling for new connections to prevent denials
of service.

part or semi-partial correlation in R
Hello,
I wanted to ask if anybody knows how to calculate part correlation
coefficient in R. I have to calculate partial correlation as well as
part-correlation. I found different libraries for partial correlation
but could not find anything related to part correlation.
Thanks for the help in advance

wine with hid
I've cross posted this on the Ubuntu 5.10 list.
I'm trying to get my Logitech Harmony remote control configuration
software working under Wine (0.9.19 - Let me say it's pretty cool, and
scary, to see all the windows stuff pop up so easily on my system). I
get pretty far, but then it fails when it tries to access the device
(which is connected via USB). When I have it plugged in and

HTML::StripScripts and markdown incompatibilities
Hi,
I'm using perl's HTML::StripScripts to clean out unwanted/broken html
from forum post on my web site but it also removes <http://example.com>
or <user at example.com> markdown constructs.
Any idea how to make these two live together in harmony?
Thanks,

log output and browse list problem
Samba List:
I have a multisite setup connected via T1/VPN. Each site has it's own
SMB server (Debian 4.1) and between 6 and 70 PCs connected to it at a
time. Each is a PDC for it's respective site, on different domain names.
Any given site may have to access files stored on a different site's
server, so SMB traffic is allowed between locations.
We've had a problem for a while now

escd daemon
Helo,
this morning I have had a pop up Window in the gnome desktop, that
- the esc service is stopped
- I should restart the esc service or
- restart the computer
But there is no esc servcie in CentOS 5 ?!
What to do? As far as I know, the server is ok. So I have closed the pop
up. It does not come up again after later login.

Do fixture_scenarios and RSpec peacibly coexist?
Railsters:
I just installed fixture_scenarios ...
http://fixture-scenarios.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/fixture_scenarios
...into a project with some RSpec specifications. They all went kablooey.
I didn''t even create a scenario; the system just started calling its version
of fixtures(). The normal tests pass and the RSpec ones unanimously emit:

rsync: mkstemp failed: No such file or directory (2)
Hello everyone,
Server1: Harmony
Server2: Peace
I've been using rsync 2.6.4 since some time now, without any problem.
I "copy" files from Server2 to Server1 (making Server1 a mirror of Server2).
The command line used on Server1 was:
rsync -vrlpogt --delete-after Server2::Img/ /LocalImg
I was copying files from Server2 (module Img) to Server1 (in /LocalImg).

Problem reading in table with extra spaces
I wrote with C and created a file that I can read into S+, but R chokes
because I've got multiple spaces between some variables and there is a
space at the start of each data line. This happens becuase C was
right-justifying the numbers as it printed them out. It looks like
this:
T Run Seed IntAct Change f0 f0T0 f0T1 f0T2 average0 variance0
relentropy0 f1 f1T0 f1T1 f1T2 average1 variance1

Trying to make plot of several time series in same graph
Dear Friends in R:
On RedHat linux, R-1.1, I've gotten far enough to create the graph that
shows on the screen with 3 lines, but I have some trouble. Here is the
way I created the three "overlaid" graphs:
data<-read.table("DataCulture0",header=T,as.is = TRUE)
attach(data)
tmp1<-plot(acquaint~T,type='l', ylim=c(0,1),ylab="average
