Rsync and trying to mirror Linux user areas
As root, I am trying to mirror a Redhat 7.3 Linux user area onto another Redhat 7.3 Linux box using rsync. This is using the following type of command: rsync -a -v --stats --safe-links However, rsync cannot mirror most of the user area because of the default permissions for the user areas. e.g., opendir(user1): Permission denied opendir(user2): Permission denied drwx------ 3 user1

Maildir hierarchy sep bug ?
Hello Timo, I'm experiencing the following different behaviors with dovecot-1.1.8/Maildir. My Maildir hierarchy separator is the "." (dot) character. My namespaces, when I use them, separator is "/". Hi guru''s out there, Im happilly coding my first rails app, and all goes well. I find myself manually coding in a particular field all the time (company_id), that relates the contact to a company. boot fails on some system
I used syslinux to make an external usb hard drive booting up "system rescue cd" from a FAT primary partition. The procedure I followed was setting on the boot flag on the FAT partition and copying the content of the iso image to it and renaming isolinux to syslinux wherever needed. I then unmounted the device and ran "syslinux -d /syslinux/ -i /dev/sdxn" where sdxn is the
