[PATCH] driver, virtio: Modify the err hanlding logic
From: Liu Yuan <tailai.ly at taobao.com>
In the function vp_request_msix_vectors(), when
pci_enable_msix() returns 0, there will be
redundant double checks for 'err'. This patch
fixes it to avoid the unnecessary check.

Dos filemode and group rights to change permissions (even when group has read only permissions)
Hi,
I'm using the "dos filemode" option to get Windows like acl handling.
Now I noticed the following line:
"Note that a user belonging to the group owning the file will not be
allowed to change permissions if the group is only granted read access"
Is there anyway to achive this so the group can change permissions even
when the group has read-only rights? This is exacly

Enhance sftp protocol: get SHA hash of file
Hi,
it would be great, if the sftp protocol could be
enhanced: get sha (or other hash value) from a file or part of a file.
This would make it possible to run a rsync like file transfer
on sftp.
I would suggest a protocol like this
Client sends to Server:
get-supported hash-methods
returns whitespace seperated list like md5 sha1 sha256 ....
get-hash HASH-METHOD FILENAME STARTOFFSET

Question for rails multidomain application design
Hi to all,
I would design an application for multidomain support and my question is
what is the best practice to do this kind of application ?
Eg.:
I think to write my application handling the multidomain into routing map:
map.connect ":domain/:controller/:action"
map.connect ":domain/:controller/:action/:id"
Assuming that I hanlde 3 domains for 3 different customers:

[PATCH 1/1] : Adding a com32 module to handle DMI
From : Erwan Velu <erwan.velu at free.fr>
This patch add a new com32 module named dmi.
It can parse DMI Hanldes number 0,1,2,3,4.
Using a very simple API, you can read the values of the following "Handles"
- BIOS
- CHASSIS
- SYSTEM
- BASE_BOARD
- PROCESSOR
It's possible and easy to extend to many other Handles.
A sample code program called dmitest shows how you can use and

TE411P Really Bad Echo ORION
The Orion echo canceller is just ok. The Tellabs units work just as well if you don't mind 10 mins of soldering.
I have the orion running with an adit 600 and a TE110P. Echo cancel is fairly good, but I have loads of problems with DTMF digits.

auth with entire email addr instead of just username
I am trying to configure a new IMAP based mail server.
I thought I had everything correct.
I have dovecot logging turned up and see that dovecot is processing the
entire email address as the username like this...
Oct 2 14:52:20 servername dovecot: auth: Debug:
pam(testuser at domain.com,1.2.3.4): lookup service=dovecot
... and of course pam is reporting that as an invalid user.

some QCA questions
Dear Adrian Dusa, others,
I've recently started to learn R in order to use the QCA package because
i think it might offer what other QCA packages don't: possibilities for
quite a few conditions and large n. However, can someone tell me approx.
how much RAM i need to run QCA on set of +/- 400.000 cases and +/- 15
conditions? (or differently: how much time will it take with RAM of a

SFTP with dummy shells
Guys,
There was some discussion a while ago on this list about making SFTP
connections for users that don't have a "valid" shell. The solution i
saw on the list was to use sftp-server as a shell.
Now, that's fine and it seems to work. However, i would like to provide
SFTP access to users with arbitrary shells, no matter if the shell exits
immediately (/bin/false) or not (some

TE411P Really Bad Echo
I just implemented a system using a TE411P hardware echo cancellation
card. Per Digium, I setup zaptel.conf, and zapata.conf the same way as
I always have. To my surprise calls out to the PSTN had a terrible
echo. 1 - 2 second delay, and quite clear. The echo was so bad that I
had to remove the hardware echo cancellation module from the card. We
are only using the 1st span of this card right
