Whats this for a block?
...be '.' and '..', so the name lengths should
be only 1 and 2, shouldn't they?
Do you know what's this for a data block? I'm just reading the wrong way?
Is there a chance to reconstruct useful information from that data block?
Thank you very much in advance,

Overwriting ext2 Partition with ext3
Hi,
Suppose you have an ext2 Partition at 14GB which is 80-90% full.
Most files are smaller than 1 MB (there are just 20 or so which are
over 100MB where 800MB is the biggest one).
Block size etc - everything is default.
Now you do this:
mke2fs -j /device
Important is the "-j" switch.
What happens without the "-j" switch? All superblocks and inodes
are overwritten. Is this

Roaming profiles and case sensitivity
Hi,
Yesterday I found big problems concerning my roaming profiles. They seem
to work on some computers where they are always used, on some other the
did not load properly (i.e. a default profile was loaded instead).
After some debugging with userenv.log I found the very strange problem:
case sensitivity for ntuser.dat!:

Browsing problem
Hi,
I've got a browsing problem, I'm searching the error for a long time now
so I think betimes it's a bug ;-)
For debugging purposes, I've left away everything in the network that's
not necessary. There's now only one XP-Prof workstation (domain member)
and one samba server (3.0.22, acting as PDC) anymore.
Bind9 is the local DNS server; Forward and PTR entries are
