[Bridge] VLAN-aware multicast querier after if link up
...ttedly, I'm working with 5.15 at the moment. But even on mainline, I
do not see any relevant changes that would make this work.
I have a simple-ish patch, but I'm wondering whether I'm missing
something? Is maybe some action from userspace expected when a port
comes up?

different mask for directory inside another share
Hello,
let's assume we have:
[$someshare]
path = /some/path
create mask = 0644
directory mask = 0755
Within /some/path there's directory named dir1 for example
(/some/path/dir1). Is it possible to define alternative masks for that
particular directory without presenting it as a different share. My
second question - is it possible to define write list for
/some/path/dir1 only.

"read error" when accessing a file on mounted samba share (Linux)
Hi all,
This is my first experience with network file sharing on Linux so I'm
looking for debugging advice. Server and client are both running FC5.
I've set up my home directory as a share on the server using
system-config-samba, everything seems fine. On the client side, as root:
# smbclient -L server.domain
Password:
Domain=[DOMAIN] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.23a-1.fc4.1]

ADS mode with ReiserFS freezes Server
...winbind
networks: files
protocols: db files
services: db files
ethers: db files
rpc: db files
netgroup: nis
Any ideas how i can find the failure and fix it?
I guess it has something to do with ReiserFS but i am not sure.
Thanks in advance

corrupt files on samba server
Hello all,
I've got a strange problem on the samba servers here at my
workingplace. The problem is that we have some files on these machines
which seem to be corrupt. Mostly the corrupt files are images, excel
cheets and sometimes Word documents. We have no idea why these files
become corrupt. We have tested some things:
We copied a whole folder to the samba server. The result was
