How to make Wine use the network interface ham0 instead eth0
Hello, i was running Hamachi and World of Warcraft server. Now i installed Linux Ubuntu and linux-version of Hamachi on it. Then i installed the World of Warcraft under Wine. After a long research i found this: Wine uses eth0 network interface and Hamachi is ham0 network interface so the question is: How to make Wine use the network interface ham0 instead eth0? The search on this forum/wiki didn't return ANY results about hamachi or ham0 and Google returned just unsolved questions on various forums. So does anyone knows the solution?

Hamachi annoyances
...h all the games in question, be they native or run via wine, they all seem to not be able to pick up on the hamachi network. My /etc/hosts file has the following entries. 5.86.189.163 sirbubbles-desktop 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 sirbubbles-desktop I had /etc/network/interfaces set up with the ham0 network interface, but since it didn't seem to be working, I thought I might have mucked it up, and deleted it. The games that I've been trying to run are Warcraft 3 with a special version of wine that's been patched for networking and battle.net, and works over my local network, as wel...

Playing wine games with hamachi?
...saw that it showed an IP that does not belong to me. It was 127.12.34.56. I looked up that ip and found a bug report that lead me to this article (http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-0344b4325219c69636aeffeaa3596d6855283afd) in the wine wiki. Some further researches told me, that wine does not use the ham0 interface if the command "hostname -i" displays another IP than my hamachi IP. So I edited my /etc/hosts file to: Code: 5.129.248.91 rechensklave #my hamachi ip, my machines name Now hostname -i returns my hamachi IP. I went to the network multiplayermode again and now I did not see...

Communicating with VM before Network is configured.
Hi All, I am facing an issue regarding communicating a value from outside to a Guest OS (linux, solaris and windows) launched on Xen Server. I did went through this thread, but It was not completely clear. http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-07/msg00473.html My question is - Is there a way in Xen, through which I can communicate a value from outside to a Guest OS (linux,
