strange su behavior
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I have a strange su hehavior on a CentOS 5.4 32Bit installation in a
VMware ESXi virtualizied environment:
If I am root and want to change the user to a non-root user, the system
prompts me for a password:
[root at halifax ~]# useradd test00
[root at halifax ~]# su - test00
We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:
#1) Respect the privacy of others.
#2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibi...

I understand I have to add include patterns first and exclude patterns
second. But it is not clear if I have to add all the include patterns
first and all the exclude patterns after them. Or do I have add
include/exclude groups?
Now I would like to mirror openSUSE_Leap_42.2 dirs from
ftp://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/opensuse/repositories/
but only from specified directories and without files with debuginfo
or debugsource patterns in their names.
I tried this command:
rsync -av --include-from=filters.txt --prune-empty-dirs \

I don't know if it's doable what I want to do, and if yes, how.
The scenario:
I would like to make a local copy of openSUSE 13.2 repositories.
I use openSUSE linux.
The repos are located in a multi-level directory structure, eg:
ftp://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/opensuse/repositories/
Let's call this directory the root dir.
Each directory in the root has subdirectories, and one of the
subdirectories
is named "openSUSE_13.2". The openSUSE_13.2 dir can be one, two, or
more level
downstairs in the root dir, eg:

can''t find disk image while installing centos domU
...39;m using Centos 5.0. When i try to setup a domU with virt-install it
all goes well till the partition menu. The anaconda setup can not find
any drives. .
The virt-install call looks like this:
virt-install -n opfer1 -r 400 -f /mnt/data0/domus/opfer1/opfer1 -s 3
- --nographics -p -l http://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/centos/5.0/os/i386
The strange thing is, that it worked fine on an earlier dom0 installation.
I hope you guys have any ideas.
Thanks...

recommendations on use of -> operator
...block.
Q1: is there a convention, informal or otherwise, on when to use the -> operator?
Q2: if there is no convention, but if people think a convention might help, what would that convention be?

can a function alter the "..." argument and passed the result to another function?
...gument of 'parent', and
I'm happy to do that, but I'm still in the learning stages with R, and
so I'm trying to become more familiar with as much R syntax as I can,
even if I end up doing things differently later on.

ccf and covariance

Or have I misunderstood what is a cross-correlation?
(unfortunately, I can't seem to get a look at the ccf code, since I
think it's buried in some C function outside of the main environment)
Thanks very much.

Setting up an outgoing trunk group
Hi All,
I'm confused! My Asterisk system has a Zap trunk and three SIP trunks.
I'd like to configure the dialplan to route via the first trunk in a
list and if that's not available or it's busy, fall over to the
second, then to the third, etc.
AIUI Dial(Zap/1&SIP/out1&SIP/out2/${EXTEN}) rings all the trunks in
the list and bridges to the first to answer. Unfortunately,
