Problem with +(POSIXt, difftime) dispatching -- WAS: How to create sequence of constant time interval
There seems to be a problem in the way `+` is dispatched for
POSIXt/difftime (R 2.8.0 Windows).
With the following definitions:
t0 <- as.POSIXct('2009-01-01 00:00')
halfhour.mins <- as.difftime(30,units='mins')
I would have thought that the straightforward answer to Suresh's
question would be something like
t0 + halfhour.mins * (0:47)
And indeed, if we call the class-specific function (which explicitly
handles the POSIXt + difftime case), we sensi...

Cron Issues
I have noanacron installed on a fresh centos 7 install.
I added this too settings.
nano /etc/cron.d/0hourly
*/5 * * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.fiveminutes
*/1 * * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.minute
0,30 * * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.halfhour
and then created the directories for it. Now I keep getting these
errors in secure log.

Re: Outbound e-mail slow from R servers?
...ay. Additionally, yesterday a big part of ETH had severe
network problems during noon time -- hence it wasn't too easy to
find out which timeouts where caused by what.
I have now re-reverted the mailman settings to what they
were before yesterday, and will start tackling the "only"
halfhour delays (which I think come from the different qrunner setup
that mailman 2.1.x is using -- which is active since about March 4).
Thanks for adverting me!
BTW: If anyone has time for writing a small perl or python script
that automatically retrieves the mailman delay from the two

Questions about doing analysis based on time
Man, R has a steep learning curve (but I suppose you all know this). I have
very little programming knowledge, so when I search for answers to my
questions, I struggle with making sense of a lot of the pages.
I have a spreadsheet that I've read into R using read.csv. I've also
attached it. It looks like this (except there are 1600+ entries):

SunDate SunTime
