Samba locks PC
Hi,
While trying to install a DNS I found that the PC locks on boot.
I started the deamons of samba in /etc/rc.d/rc.local
I tried to configure the DNS as follow:

nospoof on
/etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.2.1 linux.home.be linux
/etc/networks
1oopback 27.0.0.0
localnet 192.168.2.0
/etc/resolv.conf
domain home.be

Q : Disallow samba over 1 NIC
Currently I'm using a linux+samba+PPP
I didn't had to do something special to disallow samba over the PPP connection.
Must I do something to disallow samba over a second NIC (=not the LAN) or
how must samba be bound to the nic of the LAN ?

A collegue claim there is a way to setup a SUS server on a linux/unix, but
he doesn't have any URLs or documentation.
Is there a solution such a solution (pure unix, no emulation with vmware

Where can I find more info?

Permissions
Hi Group,
I set up samba3.0 to work as ADS-Member-Server.
I created a share called /test and chown group to gg_test to it.
Access to share works without any problems. I also can add files and
directories to this share.
When I now make ln -l, the files I added got the group-permissions "Domain
Users" and not gg_test, as I expected.
Do someone know a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Wrong output from smbstatus
Currently I'm running Samba 1.9.18p3 on a production server.
Smbstatus gives wrong information about locked files. For a client,
still connected but closed the program, smbstatus still displays the
locked files. Is there a solution or parameter I missed ? I think I read
it somewhere in a digest but can't find it anymore. Can anyone direct me
to the digest or know the problem ? I didn't
