Trying the configuration in nano.txt
Hi!
(I sent other mails some time ago, about not-using the Julian''s patches).
When I try the configuration from Nano.txt, having the Julian''s
patches applied, only the first ''hop'' of the routing table "222" is
used (according to tables shown in Nano.txt).
I saw that this question was asked some time ago, with no answer.
Maybe someone can tell me the

ActiveRecord: Getting table names
How do i get (discover) all the table names within a database using
ROR/ActiveRecord ?
I wish to build a webapp that connects to a database on the fly,
discovers tables and column names etc and then can show data or build a
report based on user selection. The ActiveRecord API doesnt seem to give
any method for getting table names.

Working with the response DOM
Hi,
Anyone know a way to traverse/query the DOM in a response?
I''m trying to write reusable story step implementations and as much as
possible want to work with the actual response from a previous GET.
As an example, I often have buttons that POST/PUT a hidden value.
My goal is a reusable step implementation that takes the button label and
works the existing response DOM to make an

Server not shutting down before power loss
Hi I hope someone can please help.
I have an Ubuntu Server running 14.04.3 LTS and using an APC ES550 UPS
connected via USB.
I've installed Nut and can see it does monitor the UPS correctly and give
the correct stats with battery percentage etc.
But on doing a "real" test and unplugging the UPS from the power supply,
after watching the battery drop slowly suddenly the server just

Chuckle. I remember a previous New Year I said "Watch This" pulled the plug,
& what visitors expected & I did Not ... Happened ... All disc spun down.
Demo effect ! I hadnt checked batteries for a while.
As ever, as I & others have commented over years in archives,
first disconnect batteries & check voltage of each battery, - dead easy,
Then much more important: calculate internal resistance of each battery.
Batteries go bad after some years, even on trickle...

wake-up call
Hi there!
I just try to play with die wake-up function described in
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+tips+wake-up
Everything looks fine but there seem to be missing some soundfiles like
"wakeup-menu". Where can I get these files in order to make this feature
usable?

change in AD authentication behaviour since 3.0.24
We have noticed a change in the way AD authentication behaves starting with
3.0.25. Ive been hoping it was a bug and someone would notice and fix it.
But since its still there as of 3.0.28, I guess its a feature :-).
Anyway, our users on XP machines used to be able to authenticate against AD
with just a username/password eg u1234567. But as of 3.0.25 they need to use
a fully qualified username eg

Reproducible duplicate messages bug with Mail.app+Dovecot
Hey guys,
I am not sure if this is a Mail.app bug or a dovecot bug. I can
reproduce it 100% of the time using dovecot and Mail.app. I cannot
reproduce it with other imap clients, which at first made me think it
was Mail.app, but then I tried Mail.app with other imap servers and
couldn't reproduce it either, so it's definitely the combination of
the two. So I thought

Hello Shorewall users,
I have some questions I am hoping someone can answer. I have searched
around the archives but so far I have been unable to find answers. I
am trying to configure traffic shaping on my router/firewall box
running Shorewall 3.0.5/kernel 2.4.31 and have run into some
problems/questions.
My basic set up is: 1500/256kbit ADSL (PPPoE/ppp0) -> Shorewall box

Rails magic for MySQL -> XML file -> MySQL and back again ??
Greetings!
My little app collects data from the user, persists it in about a dozen tables during the session, writes out / saves an XML file that''s downloaded to the user''s PC when they''re done, then clears the db of all data entered, and deletes the XML file from the server.
Now I need to allow the user to upload the same XML file they created earlier and put it back

Proper noun stemming
Hi All
I was wondering if anyone had a solution for the following problem.
I user QueryParser to stem my documents before adding them to a
database. During the stemming process I would like to find a way of
keeping proper nouns that span two or more words together as a phrase.
For example "New York" or "Gordon Brown" or "Prime Minister" get spilt
up. I see
