Samba on an AIX - HACMP Cluster
Hi!
Has anybody experience in running Samba on an IBM AIX High Availability
Cluster with 2 nodes? At the moment we are using NFS + Maestro NFS-Client
for NT and want to change to a server software using SMB (meaning either IBM
FastConnect or Samba).
The server is supposed to be a file server for about 1000 Users. We don't
need advanced futures like load balancing or take over of active

Authenticating UNIX Cluster with Active Directory
Hi All,
We're running Samba 3.0.2 on Solaris and have successfully implemented a number of samba servers authenticating with Active Directory. I now have a requirement to try and implement a samba service using Active Directory authentication within a two-node Veritas Cluster 3.5 environment.
My aim is to have the users access the samba share not by the individual cluster node names, but by

Substituting charset 'ISO8859-1' for LOCALE
This is the last line in the log file.
It worked on 10 other servers and is failing on two of them. No obvious
differences between the sets.
Any ideas? Thank you,

Samba HA on two nodes
...nstalled on each machine?
I compiled two versions on different directories (/usr/local/samba1 and samba2).
At this point, I can run 2 samba's on one node in case of failure but problems are on Active Directory
authentication for the Fallback node.
Any suggestion!
I'm running AIX 5.2 with HACMP and samba 3.0.20b and AD servers located on another subnet.

Problem logon to PDC
Hello,
I have setup a cluster system with drbd and heartbeat. I have samba running
as a PDC. Everything works great when I am on server1 But when failover
ocuurs I cannot seem to log on the domain anymore.
I Have symlinks to my home share : /var/cache/samba , /etc/samba/ who are
synced between 2 servers.
Do I have to sync another files ??
