Trying to get Last Chaos to work in wine 1.3.7 Had to winetricks ie6 to get the launcher to work . But , hackshield pro .starts and the the famous 4666 bug . Is it a way to disable hs pro ? Or a way to patch wine ?

Ok so I'm trying to play Domo (Dream of Mirrors Online) and Rf (Rumble Fighter) on linux... So I was able to run the install and update but the game won't actually start cause Hack shield can be executed... im quite new to wine. I recently heared about a game called silkroad that use to run in wine but does not anymore for some reason so i decided to try and make it run even though a have very few knowledge with wine. QUESTION: Did Wine do an update around July 31st? Or is this a problem with Silkroad? Ever since an Update on July 31st on Silkroad I haven't been able to play that game. I open up the client and I get to the start-up screen, and when I select start, hackshield pro will come up like it's supposed to, but when it's disappears, I'll be stuck at the start up window without a start button. I'm not the only one with this problem.

I've tried a couple MMORPGs on Wine that work, and one i am trying to help work (MapleStory) However, when the game launchers close, I get this error: err:seh:raise_exception Exception frame is not in stack limits => unable to dispatch exception. And that is it. Is there any workaround for this or something I am missing?

I've been playing this MMORPG (Mabinogi if anyone cares) for a while and it worked alright in Wine for the longest time (it still had some issues mostly because it was stupidly using Internet Explorer for so much of it..) until Hackshield updated and decided to throw the 0x00000108 error when initializing. So I figured I'd give the debugger a shot and try to figure out the issue to get back to playing. The normal debugger is a pain. I don't even care that it's a terminal application, but there doesn't seem to be any...

...g, I'm able to get to the first screen where you can check to see if you have all the files needed to run the game (I have all of them), change from full screen to window screen, view the news, or press the start button. After pressing the start button, the game appears to be working fine, the hackShield doesn't find any problems, and then the "real" game launches. Hi ho. I tryed to install Rappelz on my ubuntu 9. Installation was fine. But it woulnd start. In AppDB i found a article about rappelz epic V and that there are trouble with the gameguard (hackshield). Is it possible for the future to fix this problem? so that i can play rappelz on wine? KR Sada
