Wine on a Mac Netbook?
What can happen in this case? It has an Intel Atom processor (N270 in this case) and it's running a compatible OS to use Wine. But does this actually mean that it will run like on any other Intel computer? Thanks

PCI Hotplugging - Could I juggle a video card and other devices between running DomUs?
...g what would behave like a software-based KVM switch (but without the exponentially rising costs associated with getting more ports, dual-link DVI/Displayport, and so on... not to mention requiring multiple machines :D). Could I potentially effortlessly switch between Windows, Linux, and perhaps a Hackintosh? That would be quite the awesome application of cutting edge tech, I say :) Curious if anyone has experience with attaching/detaching these types of devices, and whether or not guest OSes and their drivers, play nice with this feature. Thanks, Andrew Bobulsky

dual boot tips
Hi, Could a wiki page about tips and trix fro dual booting be of interest ? I can think of one part that is file systems and filesystem drivers, like ntfs driver for Linux and ext2/3 drivers for Windows. And another part is how to sync favorites, emails and such independently of OS (Im unshure if this is possible, but I know that Mozilla had something going a while back). /MatsK

Mac virtualization over KVM
Hi all, Has anyone succeeded on running this Mac from iATKOS http://goo.gl/AosaB over KVM? Would some have a domain config file to help? I see that for openSuse kernels it seems to work: http://goo.gl/X11MJ The ressource it a bit outdated, might be innacurate today. Would you know a ressource teaching how to? Thank you. -- RMA.

3TB system drive partitioning question
so I want to install c6.2 x86_64 onto a 2.7TB /dev/sda ... its a virgin machine with no software, using pxe boot. disk druid or whatever seems to only want to let me have like 2tb of default stuff, I'm guessing because its not using GPT? do I need to preboot into a shell or something and use parted before I can install ? -- john r pierce N 37, W 122 santa

strange partitioning problem
Hello listmates, Here's I am, trying to install Centos 6.2 64-bit on a server with 24 TB of disk RAIDed as RAID 6. So I get this 18 TB disk (the RAID is recognized as one disk) where I am trying to put my OS. And I can create a couple of partitions - let us say I defiine a 150 GB swap, a 150 GB "/", a 100 GB "/var". So far so good. Then I try to define the next one, say, a

vmware macosx
Hi Guys does anyone have a ''working'' macosx vmware instance ? i.e. you have the networking working ok so you can use ichat. would love to use macosx and textmate for RoR development but I dont fancy parting with > $US1,500 for a new Mac that is half the speed, one quarter the RAM and a fraction of the HD of my current PC. regards damian
