For some reason the "tech support" people at Hewlett-Packard don't know what the default password is to access their printer's embedded web server (EWS). I got it myself from the installation manual six months ago and immediately set my own password which I have used since then, so I no longer remember what the default is. Hello list, I'm using samba 3.x and cannot use newer HP print drivers (UPD). (They always print in black) I updated to samba 4.6.2 with the same problem. My question in the HP forum, did not got an answer: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Color-printing-not-working/m-p/6073483 My workaround for older HP drivers, was using the "printer defaults" and configuring a color printer manually, for every printer.
