two MGE Ellipse 1500 ups via usb
Hi, I've got two MGE Ellipse 1500 UPS connected via usb to an ubuntu jaunty system with nut and libupsclient1 2.4.1-2ubuntu4. As soon as I start the driver for the second one, they start fighting each other and I get no data. I found an older post to this list that said: If you want to monitor multiple UPSes through usbhid-ups, you *must* make sure that each one can be uniquely identified

problems after upgrade from 3.3.2 to 3.4.0
Hi, After upgrading one of my samba servers from ubuntu jaunty (3.3.2) to karmic (3.4.0) I cannot access the shares any more. The server (FINTLEWOODLEWIX) is set up to check authentication via a PDC (IO), which is also running 3.4.0 (and has been before). Guest access is allowed so that any users without a local unix account will be granted read access. Valid users are allowed read/write. After

rsync hangs during --remove-source-files
Hi, I'm using the following command to move files from a to b: rsync -avvvv --remove-source-files --ignore-existing /path/to/dir1/ /path/to/dir2 >> logfile dir2 isn't empty so I only move files from dir1 to dir2 that don't exist already. Every so often rsync stops in the middle and doesn't continue with the result that I have to kill it. The last time it happened, rsync had

Yet another include/exclude question
Hi, How can I include only *.foo and *.bar files in an rsync? To make it a bit more difficult: Those files can be anywhere in the directory structure. I've been reading and trying for a while but the best I got is all *.foo and *.bar files in ./ but none of the ones inside any directories. Cheers, Tom

--detect-renamed --detect-moved and -b
Hi, I played around with the combination of rsync --detect-renamed --detect-moved and -b. Given the following tree: src/dir/file dest/src/dir/file I renamed src/dir to src/dir2 and ran the following command: rsync -a --detect-renamed --detect-moved --delete -b --backup-dir=bak src dest ending up with: dest/bak/src/dir/file Is it supposed to do that? I was expecting it to detect the renamed

few questions about icecast/ices
I have a few questions about icecast and ices. Icecast: Isn't there supposed to be a web interface, that tells what's currently playing and whatnot (not the admin interface, one for users)?. i setup my server, and was assuming it would be at http://www.mysite.com:8000/ but it's not. (http://www.mysite.com:8000/admin is the admin interface, also in that, the links to change the

profile terror after passdb loss
Hi, I'm running samba 3.4.0 as PDC with a bunch of Windows boxes (XP, Vista, 7) on the domain. Unfortunately, I lost my passdb.tdb and secrets.tdb files and had to create the domain again on a new setup. Consequently, all domain computers had to be rejoined and all users had to re-enter their passwords. This must have caused major confusion on the clients / controller (I don't know which
