[GSoC'16] Need details on New Transformations and Analyses
Hi everyone,
I am very interested in contributing to LLVM project in this year's GSoC. I am new with LLVM, but this is used in the compiler course in my university. So, I am thinking to involve in LLVM development to have a better knowledge of the system. Currently, I am preparing the proposal.
One of the project that caught my eyes is "New Transformations and Analysis". Several

user's profile not deleted
Hi,
I would like to ask, will the roaming profile directory in C:\Documents and
Settings\username, will be deleted once the user logs out? Mine isn't. I'm
worried that, for a thousand users, one workstation would have a thousand
directories? I believe those are not local profiles, since it is saved into
the server every time the user logs out.

importance of sid and rid?
Hi,
I would like to know, what's the importance of sid and rid, for:
1) a win2k to samba migration, with roaming profiles
2) brand new domain on samba, with roaming profiles
If rid and sid need to be migrated to a samba+ldap how do I do it?
Another thing is, I've read in ldap-smb-HEAD-howto.html that the builtin
accounts are implemented internally in the samba server. Does this mean I

Samba 2.2.5 and ACL
Hi,
I've a problem in running configure for samba 2.2.5. I'm using redhat 7.3,
with ACL support from http://acl.bestbits.at/. I've tested that the ACL is
working on the filesystem, and samba can find it too. Here's the error:
checking if large file support can be enabled... yes
checking whether to support ACLs... checking for acl_get_file in -lacl... yes

Queries on samba with roaming profiles
I've some queries on Samba, hope that someone in the mailing list can help me
:)
1) I've Samba PDC with W2k workstation (w2kwks). When I login into w2kwks, it
created a folder with my username in C:\Documents and Settings directory
(which I think is the roaming profile directory?)
2) When I configure Outlook 2000 on the w2kwks (for imap), it automatically

Samba 2.2.5 and LDAP start_tls
Hi,
I've a problem in connecting samba 2.2.5 to LDAP with ldap ssl = start_tls.
I've already patched the file pdb_ldap.c and configure.in and run autconf (as
described in the Samba-LDAP-PDC howto).
However, doing a rpcclient servername -U root%password -c "enumprinters" shows
this in the log:

A few doubts I need to ask
Hi,
I've read a few manuals, and it got me confused on what's the correct way to
mimic NT PDC, and I hope someone can help me.
According to IDEALX Samba PDC Guide
1) Samba 2.2 deal with only 2 groups, Domain Admins and Domain Users. Are
these hardcoded or do I add to the domain admin group? Do I add it such as
domain admin group = "Domain Admins"?
2) Seems that from the

In other words, a category may have a lot of books, and a book can

What is the best practice to query all books related to some specified

Access 97
I have been trying to run Access 97 under wine. Despite what it says on
codeweaver, I get "not enough memory error"
I am using wine 20011108 and 20011106. My system has 256 RAM (physical) and
256 (Virtual)
Any help or suggestion is much appreciated.

ntadmin group
Hi,
I would like to know whether ntadmin group is already builtin? I've read the
Samba HOWTO collection and it mentions a few times about ntadmin, but there's
no saying how to define it. So, I guess it's builtin?
If not, how do I define it? Is it actually ordinary unix group?
Thank you.
