[PATCH] fuse: In mount-local-run, test if root filesystem has been mounted (RHBZ#1057504).
...guestfs: error: lstat: lstat_stub: you must call 'mount' first to mount the root filesystem libguestfs: error: lstat: lstat_stub: you must call 'mount' first to mount the root filesystem With this commit, the mount-local-run call gives an error. The error is implemented by calling guestfs_exists (g, "/") which has the side effect of running the NEED_ROOT macro in the daemon. [PATCH 4/5] inspect: fix existance check of /dev/mapper devices
When checking for the existance of /dev/mapper devices found in the fstab of a filesystem, using guestfs_exists means they are checked as files in the guest, while they really appear as devices on the appliance. Resort using a debug API to check whether a file in the appliance exists, instead. Fixes commit 96b6504b09461aeb6850bb2e7b870a0a4c2f5edf. --- src/inspect-fs-unix.c | 15 ++++++++++++++- 1 file chan...

[PATCH v2 0/2] Improve inspection of /usr filesystems
Hi, this patch series improves the way /usr filesystems are handled: tag them appropriately, so later on we can find them and merge results they contain directly back for the root filesystem. Changes in v2: - removed patches #1 and #2, already pushed - drop patch #3, no more needed - replace patch #4 with a better suggestion from Rich - change if into assert in patch #5 Thanks, Pino Toscano

[PATCH 0/5] Improve inspection of /usr filesystems
Hi, this patch series improves the way /usr filesystems are handled: tag them appropriately, so later on we can find them and merge results they contain directly back for the root filesystem. The series includes also a new private debug API, and its usage to fix the resolution of /dev/mapper/.. devices found in fstab; without it, LVM /usr filesystems are not recognized as belonging to their

How to get information about the guest filesystems by libguestfs
Hi, I am using guestfish to write some files into guest file system of my KVM domain. As you know, I have to mount guest disk at a position in the filesystem before I write any files into it , e.g.: mount /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / But the problem is how I can get guest filesystem info without login guest. Now I have to power on the KVM domain, login the guest, remember which

[PATCH 0/3] Use __attribute__((cleanup(...)))
This patch series changes a small part of the library to use __attribute__((cleanup(...))) to automatically free memory when pointers go out of the current scope. In general terms this seems to be a small win although you do have to use it carefully. For functions where you can completely get rid of the "exit code paths", it can simplify things. For a good example, see the
