What happens to a Samba share if the shared disk goes offline?
...ever actually been written to disk.
I'm just trying to understand Samba's role in this, and how users could see files, and write new files, when they weren't actually on the underlying disk. Does Samba keep its data in memory even if the disk it's sharing goes down?

Linear regression and slope from 1
Dear R-Users,
I am new to R, so please excuse the ignorance.
I have data:
x (2.14, 2.41, 1.09, 0.17, 8.18)
y (3.81, 5.13, 0.63, 0.75, 6.35)
I would like to use simple linear regression and test 2 things:
1) slope of line of best fit is statistically different from 1
2) y-intercept is statically different from 0
Could anyone provide me with the R terminology to do this?

sudden problem with script
Hi,
First off, please understand that I am not a frequent R user. I am trying to use a script generated by another program in R for a certain analysis. I have used the script successfully in the past. Recently, when trying to load the script, I receive a warning message: package 'nls' has been merged with 'stats'. As a result, program R does not do the analysis. Does anyone

quicken 98 deluxe (year 2000 solution) problem with backup space
...;I also use quicken 98 deluxe with windosw XP
All has been perfect until now.
When I try to backup I get the following message:
Your backup disk is out of space.
Insert a different disk and press OK.
The problem is this I also have been backing up to a hard drive which has ample space ??
