[LLVMdev] is the SmallVector implementation standard c++?
While debugging a bootstrap problem, I noticed that SmallVector stores
one element in SmallVectorImpl and N - 1 in SmallVector. It also
assumes that all elements are continuous in memory. Does C++ makes any
guaranties about the relative memory position of a base and parent
classes?
I haven't studied it a lot, maybe we can keep N elements in
SmallVector and pass the pointer to SmallVectorImpl

Is it possible to shape variable bandwidth?
Hello LARTC,
Internet connection - ADSL, interface nas0 (115kbit guarantied, up to 1mbit possible. Depends on ISP load, impossible to guess).
Internal interface LAN, eth0.
Is it possible to successfully shape download traffic on eth0 using HTB?
Classes must have guarantied rate calculated from 115kbit possible rate (for example 3 classes) and the possibility to borrow up...

That''s download traffic we''re talking about, since you seem to be
shaping on your local LAN interface? Variable rate ISPs are tough

Active directory and winbind RID/SID to uid and gid maping across several linux servers
...erver. I have been able to get our RHEL4U6 servers to authenticate
with active directory.
My concern is that the RID mapping to unix uid/gid range (15000-20000)
is stored locally on each machine in a tdb database. So far all of the
servers have produced the same mapping, but I do not think it is
guarantied. I think the fact that I do a wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g as part
of the setup and there have been no users/groups added to active
directory has made the mappings the same. I know that the uid/gid are
not being store in active directory(I did a 'dsquery * -scope base
-attrib *' on my id in act...

[LLVMdev] Using -noexternals option of NightlyTest.pl
Result night tester run at FreeBSD 5.1 accessable by URL
http://npt.cc.rsu.ru/testresults-X86-FreeBSD/index.html
I can't guaranty run it per day base, sorry.
As i can see, make (bug 385) and perl (bug 386) not builded by
NightlyTest.pl (but builded if use gmake night tests run format)
So I don't known preferable solutions: its can be closed or patches
applied.

GUI bug (PR#1711)
Full_Name: Socrates Alikhanidi
Version: 1.5.1
OS: Windows 2000
Submission from: (NULL) (133.15.3.28)
During resizing of 'R Console' windows the fatal error of forbidden memory
access appears.
To reproduce that with a guaranty, resize windows by mouse with small steps.
Probably the faster computer is, the earlier that event appears. I have PIV 1.8
GHz.
Waiting time was near 1 second.

Xen4CentOS6 project longevity
We've been using CentOS 5 with Xen on our machines for a while now and have
really grown to appreciate it. The lack of Xen for Centos 6 is the reason
we haven't upgraded yet, but with Xen4CentOS6 we have all the tools we
need. The concern some of are having is that when CentOS7 comes out, which
will be probably less than a year, is that Xen support for CentOS6 will
evaporate. I know this

Okay, sounds great. I added it to the page with a note to that effect:

Thanks a lot for volenteering to run it. Also, if you notice

newnotsys
Hi,
I have a dynamic network (ospf) connecting different locations over
frame relay (wan). Each location frame relay access device is actually a
linux box running shorewall, zebra with a sangoma card.
As a backup I have added to some locations a DSL line which serves as a
gateway to the Internet but also over which I have created VPNs to
connect those locations using OpenVPN as a backup.

'pausing' in R
I have this 'odd' problem; I need to let R pause, for a given time, before
starting next iteration in a loop. I'm using the following to do this
task, but feel a little bit guilty because I'm using as much CPU time as I
can get while pausing:
while(keepGoing) {
t.end <- proc.time()[3] + 5 ## the time this loop should end at
[block of R commands]
while(proc.time()[3]

Isn't that called more like "guarantied bandwith" than "burst"?

RESTful xapian server needs help
For the last year we have been working hard in releasing an open source RESTful xapian server named Xapiand (https://github.com/Kronuz/Xapiand) that will offer clustering, replication and some other neat features (similar to what elasticsearch offers, but the final goals go beyond it); however, for our Xapiand server to work, we need to have a few changes in xapian-core that are **essential**.

Speex modes
Hi,
I'm about finished developing a QuickTime component that supports Speex
(on
MacOS X and Windows).. As it is now the user can set complexity
(SPEEX_SET_COMPLEXITY) and quality (SPEEX_SET_QUALITY /
SPEEX_SET_VBR_QUALITY) and to wether to use VBR or not. Will these
options
make it possible to produce all combinations of bitrates/qualities? Or
should I also use

PEAR Channel and Git Repository Mirror for PHP Markdown & Extra
Until today, the only way I offered PHP Markdown and PHP Markdown
Extra was with packaged zip files available on my website. It turns
out, unsurprisingly, that some people would prefer a simpler path for
keeping their copy of PHP Markdown up-to-date.
So today I announce two additional ways of grabbing PHP Markdown and
PHP Markdown Extra. The first one is a PEAR channel which can be used

Thank you for the quick and throughout reply. First paragraph pretty much
sums it up. Unless there is more will to guaranty (or provide under flag)

So all of you with picky customers out there J Is there anyone else that

Download OpenSSH through secure channel?
I am trying to download a version of OpenSSH newer than the one preinstalled with my OS. But sadly I find that I can only download it through *unsecured* plain http/ftp/rsync protocol, vulnerable to attacks by anyone in the network path. It is odd that *the* software about security and encryption across untrusted network is distributed to everyone insecurely and not encrypted. Is there any future
