Best Hardphone (Subjective?)
After working with the Grandstream GXP 2000 series phones, I have
decided that I am quite unhappy with their problems, both voice quality,
volume, features and others. For their price now, there are plenty of
phones to choose from as well.
So subjectively what would be the best Hardphone for a small/medium
business with multiple line support, BLF, etc.
Are the Cisco 7960 the best of the

Provisioning GXP 2000
I've done some googling and searched voip-info but I'm not able to find a
good answer about how to provision the GXP 2000.
Based on questions I've asked before it seems like a lot of people are using
the grandstream phones so I figure provisioning can't be that hard. Is
everyone using the web interface for *every* phone? Or is there a better,
more automatic, way?
TIA!!!
Thanks,

How to remote reboot Grandstream GXP-2000
I occasionally have to remotely configure and reboot customers' grandstream
phones. I use tftp, so make changes in the tftp config files, but then need
the customers manually reboot the phones. How can I reboot the phones myself
remotely.

using http to provision a Grandstrea GXP2000 phone
I have a GXP2010 phone, the one with 18 blinky lights ;)
I currently provision the phone by writing out the conf file, encoding
it and sending it to the tftp server. I was wondering if anyone had
managed to automate the web side of provisioning ?
TIA
Julian

OT Provisioning http-server-enabled devices (Was: Siemens Gigaset DECT base provisioning)
hello,
I would to define and unattended process to configure devices which are
http-server-enabled, use DHCP but do not use TFTP-DCHP to configure
themselves during boot.
Has anyone worked on such subject ?
I was thinking of something like :
populating configuration file from device web pages (rendering this as
generic and flexible as possible)
writing a script which reads this file and set

IP Phone recommendation
Hi all,
I have to install 25 IP Phone in some building. I want just basic IP Phones
like:
Cisco-Linksys SPA922 u$s 146
Grandstream GXP-2000 u$s 105
Snom 300 u$s 119
The most valuables parameters for me are (in importance order from high to
low):
- Stability (device don't hang in any way)
- Voice quality using G729
- Provisioning
So what device do

Best phone for easy provisioning
Does anyone have any recommendations for a phone that has easy to
understand/implement central provisioning? I've used CISCO 79XX phones,
and they're great (but too expensive). I like Grandstream phones, but
their provisioning sucks.
What is everybody else using in large environments where individual
config is not an option?

[CMake] CMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE and projects
Hi,
I'm working on cross-compiling llvm and sub-projects to dynamically build
Clang toolchain and associated libraries for an embedded project.
I'm starting with this mailing list, as I see the pattern using
"config-ix.cmake" a common one; it's found in all the sub-projects.
For those that are not aware, in CMake the standard approach for dealing
with unique toolchains,

Decent Voip Phones for enterprise
Hi there
Our company is using the Linksys SPA-942 Phones, and they are pretty useless.
They dont have any central management or provisioning, as well as a pretty bad interface.
Can anyone reccomend any voip phones( Cisco, Polycom, SNOM ) that have
* Central Management for all the phones (We dont mind if we have to buy the software to manage them)
* Programable shortcut buttons, So i can
