DVD support on CentOS 5.1
...ib packages as that seems to be the answer, but the only ones
I find (like on DAG) seem to be just dead links or I get a message that the
mirrors are unavailable when I try to run the rpm.
Can anyone provide a link for rpm's that will provide DVD support on CentOS
5.1 32bit? I installed the Gstream rpm's so at least I have mp3 and mpeg
support, I just really want DVD support as well.
Many thanks in advance,
Manuel Alvarez
P.S. If anyone can chime in the question below I would greatly appreciate
it. I still have no idea on this one. L

lets talk abaut gstreamer 1.10.5, gstreamer-libav, ffmpeg, bluray and vlc
Hello guys,
my playground this days with gstreamer resources can be found at:
http://centos.cms4all.org/repo/7/gstreamer/
The best thing for centos I think to compile the given one by gstream
libav:
Has ffmpeg 3.2.5 not ffmpeg 2.8.13 what is the background for vlc. In
principal it's possible to build ffmpeg 3.4.

Media formats
Is CentOS held to the same philosophy as Fedora by NOT including apps
to play formats such mp3 etc.
If this is the case, how easy is it (looking for a how-to url) to add
things such as gstream-bad to a Cent install.

laptop (for vimeo).
I installed the gstreamer plugins as described here:
https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7
(No, I did not install Flash, VLC and all the other stuff. I only want
HTML5 MP4 playback..)
I enabled the nux repos. I did install all available gstreamer plugins,
i.e. -good -bad -ugly -ffmpeg etc. No succ...

Using same extension number for outgoing and incoming both internal and PSTN
Sorry if this question already asked.
I'm implementing Voip with asterisk and grandstream gxw4108, according
from the manual, for connecting with PSTN I must configure one SIP
account and assign that for dialing the PSTN so in my sip.conf I
configure SIP account(extension) :
[1401]
type=friend
username=1401
secret=1401
host=dynamic
context=my-office
insecure=port

Dag's comment at linuxtag

"....Right next to the Gentoo stand was a group of young people, proudly displaying their affiliation with CentOS.
Dag Wieers, the well-known maintainer of a once very popular RPM

introduced myself, he looked somewhat disappointed: "Oh, so you know
