...s by specified amount. I can import certain regions of GSHH, but I don't seem to be able to limit them like I want using xlim. If I change xoff to something besides -360 I get different sizes of plots that are all the color I am using for land. I have the following: Hawaii.GSHH<- importGSHHS(GSHHfile, xlim=c(-156.3,-155.92), ylim=c(19.45,19.5), xoff=-360) The GSHHS shoreline data is found at: http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/wessel/gshhs/gshhs.html Any suggestions on what is going on? Hi folks, I've been using 'PBSmapping' to make a map of Europe with some labels. I've been using the 'worldLL' PolyData, as my computer is too slow to make my own from the GSHHS files. The only problem is this PolyData does not seem to include Ireland. ...e have a number of acoustic receivers in a MPA, and any time a tagged fish passes within range it records the date and time of detection.? I am trying to make bubble plots?showing the number of detections for each fish at each receiver.? I have been able to get it to work using a map generated from GSHHS data (Global Self-consistent, Hierarchical, Highresolution Shoreline) but the map data is not of high enough resolution.? Instead I am trying to plot the data on a shapefile, but I can't find out how to project the shapefile correctly to match up with the data.? I know my shapefile is in NAD 19...
