No printing possible in wine 0.9.15
Hello List,
I just installed wine-0.9.15, because I wasn't able to print with
wine-0.9.8, but unfortunately the problem persists.
System: Gentoo Linux 2006.0
Wine: 0.9.15 (duh)
Printer: Cups-1.1.23 on separate machine (Gentoo 2006.0), on localhost only
cupsclient
This is what i do:
- remove ~/.wine
- run winecfg from xterm
winecfg complains about printer problems, but continues:

IO error / connection unexpectedly closed
Hello,
i use rsync from Windows to rsync on Linux via ssh and get IO Errors
and connection unexpectedly closed errors on almost every sync run.
Can anybody give me some hints on how to track down the problem?
thx, Chris

scalable fonts problem on Linux
...", cex.main = 1.8, font.main = 1) :
X11 font at size 22 could not be loaded
I assume from a previous message in this mailing list that this is a
Helvetica font that needs to be rescaled. To address this problem I have
installed all fonts that seem to be necessary, including freefont,
gsfonts-X11, sharefont, xfonts-100dpi, xfonts-75dpi, xfonts-base,
xfonts-scalable, xfs, xfstt, and others that looked pertinent, yet this
still has not solved the problem. Any ideas what I should do next (besides
turning it into a bitmap)? Many plots besides the demos get aborted for
this reason.
Thanks...

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hi Stepan,
Sorry for the delay. It's great that you are working on MergeFunctions
as well and I agree, we should definitely try to combine our efforts to
improve MergeFunctions.
Just to give you some context, the pass (with the similar function
merging patch) is already being used in a production setting. From my
point of view, it would be better if we focus on improving its
capability

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hello Sean and Tobias,
Sean,
Thank you. Could you describe Nick's ideas in few words or give me links
to your discussion, so I could adapt my ideas to it.
Tobias,
Your patch fails on several modules in my benchmark (73 of ~1800 tests).
I have sent one as attachment.
