Error message GSA package
Dear list,
I have gene expression measurements obtained by PCR on 11 genes,
tabulated as a data matrix.
I'm attempting to use GSA package to distinguish any significant changes
in these genes as a pathway.
My response variable is binary, 0=no disease, 1=disease.
I have read the PCR data into R as follows:
data <-
read.delim("CD4PCR.txt",header=TRUE,row.names=1,sep="\t",dec=".",fill=TR

OT: UPS battery vendor, cont'd
Here's the state of my search: BatteriesPlus is... odd. The corporate
site, and after a phone call, tell me they don't do GSA, but some of their
franchises do. I called the local one, and they do.
However, the only RBC 43 they offer, I might as well buy direct from APC,
at well over $300 for the set.
Battery Sharks, and Apex, don't do GSA... but they *do* offer replacements
for about $100 for the set.

Generating R plots via Ruby CGI
...to debug a simple two-line plot routine in R called test.R:

These commands work fine when typed into R. They also work fine when
I invoke this routine by the following line into my terminal:
R --slave < /Library/WebServer/Documents/gsa/test.R
My ultimate goal is to send data to this R routine via a web interface
mediated by Ruby. However, I've run into a wall there -- the commands
that work fine when typed directly into the command line, fail when
sent via Ruby.

Gluster deamon fails to start
This is in relation to bringing up a new oVirt environment.
When I was bringing up oVirt (Hosted-Engine), I had the Glusterd service stopped, since the server (I have its name as GSAoV07) was initially only going to be used to host the oVirt engine as a hypervisor (it will have Gluster volumes in the near future). I have three other servers I am using for storage. One of those three is also going to be a hypervisor and the other two are dedicated storage servers (Their names ar...

come in for user 1234*111 from weeble.wobble.com, they are sent to

"*" symbol in there, we re-write the extension)
register => gbush@whitehouse.gov:monkeypox@sip.gsa.gov/666
This is a more complex example that uses the new functionality, where
the server sip.gsa.gov only wants to see inbound registrations from
strictly-defined user/domain pairs, and it will not accept
"user@sip.gsa.gov" as a valid registration (or, perhaps there are

Can someone guide me to set up the DVD with Linux, and which tools should I

Peer probing the multiple addresses is done via oVirt providing the logical
network (with gluster role) is attached to the interface in oVirt engine.
Could you provide the "gluster peer status" output from GSAov08?
Also the engine.log from /var/log/ovirt-engine/engine.log of the Hosted
Engine VM?

Xapian support for huge data sets?
...m 2 to 4 dozen users on the system at any one time.
The indexing server has upwards of 28GB memory, but even then, it gets
extremely taxed, and will only get worse.
In the opinion of this list, would Xapian be able to handle this kind
of load, or should I evaluate more ?enterprise?-like solutions (GSA,
etc.)?
Thanks.

Gluster deamon fails to start
As far as the peer status (and I now remember seeing this earlier) the issue appears to be that the host name for gsaov07 is attempting to resolve over the wrong network for gluster "ent...." and not "stor.local".
So, it may be as simple as removing gsaov07 as a peer, then probing over the correct network.
I'll follow up with the Engine log.

How do I blank or overwrite DVD-RW disks in CentOS 5?
I'm trying to use DVD-RW ("minus RW") disks in my LG GSA-4040B
