USING MULTILEVEL PACKAGE AND WABA FUNCTION
Dear friends, this time I have a problem with using waba function. Firstly, I'll explain you my situation. In the survey a gruop of supervisors judge the dipendents of a company. One supervisor reported on more than one subordinate. Thus, I need to show that lack of independence is not a problem, and a reviewer told me to use WABA. The question is, how? In which way i can build my X and Y?

Force GID specific number
Hi All, My linux machines are part of NIS domain, I want to move them to work with my AD using winbind. The clearcase permissions are based on specific GID (50). I saw that you define on the smb.conf "idmap gid = 10000-20000" and all your AD gruops GID start at 10000 Is there any way to force that each user will get GID 50 as one of his groups? Thanks In Advanced! Nir B

Samba4.6 - Groups creation/import fails
hello another object (not a group) ie user / computer with the name mygroup can also exist and prevent group creation... see https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Migrating_a_Samba_NT4_Domain_to_Samba_AD_(Classic_Upgrade) Prevent failure due to common user/group names If you have any usernames that are the same as a groupname, you will have to rename one of them. virtual namespace question
...ta/mail/%d/%u/virtual } # Default namespace private { separator = / prefix = inbox = yes } With this configuration the folders show up on the same level, but I'm unable to subscribe to them. When I change the prefix back to "virtual/" it works, but folders are still gruoped under "virtual". Funny thing is, when I use a prefix something like "vfolder/", the root folder is no longer greyed out in my MUA (TB3), and I get a "Mailbox doesn't exist: vfolder" error msg if I click on it. Problem booting 2.6.30-rc5 kernel
Good morning! I know I'm on the bleeding edge, but I'm having trouble getting the 2.6.30-rc5 kernel to boot on my CentOS 5.3 box. It's a dual-socket Nehalem box with the Tylersburg chipset (Supermicro board). I installed CentOS 5.3 on it with no problems - boots and runs fine. But I wanted to take a look at the 2.6.30-rc5 kernel and try out some new stuff. After a few go around's

Computer members on AD are not identified and don´t have group mebership applied
I´m trying to set up a Fedora 27 server with samba 4.7 as a AD DC for a windows network. I followed the tutorial from the samba wiki and the arch linux wiki and currently have things working to the point where I can join windows machines, add users, create GPOs and apply them to users. The problem occurs when trying to apply computer GPOs. The windows machines just don't get affected by them.

use one way ANOVA to select genes
Hi Others can have better insight in your question so i tis preferable to post your mails to the Rhelp list too. I hope your datafile is all numeric. If not after t(datafile) can be character. AFAIK your pvalue is not propagated to aov function. Based on artificial data your construction arrives to result, which in this case tells you that there is almost no difference in those 5 groups.. m

Using umask
Grasping a full understanding of setting default Users, Groups and Masks has alluded me over the years, but now I find myself in a situation where manually "setting" the file/directory attributes is becoming a pain. I understand the fundamentals of the file attributes, though from time to time I have to review the "sticky bit"; what I do not understand is where/how the

winbind problem
Dear all, I'm trying to make winbindd working without much success. I would like to set my linux box as a samba PDC and as winbindd host with some win2k workstations. I'm using mdk 8.1 and have installed the corresponding rpms (samba-2.2.2-6 by cooker). I followed howto and samba doc to set the pdc and it works. Following winbindd doc I have to used "smbpasswd -L -j IUTINFO -U
