Hallo, samba 4.2 is released for some time now. Sernet usually doesn?t take a lot of time to release their new packages. But now we haven?t heard a peep from them. Are they gone or will there be another fine release? In great expectation of a fine new sernet-samba-package-release -Peter

To the samba-people when can we expect a stable 3.0 release? I?ve heard of the massive changes using ldap between 2.2.7a and 3.0. Does it make sense to wait for 3.0 to change my systems to ldap? Thanks! Peter

Hallo, from time to time some of our users delete files. But none of them do confess that they have deleted the file. I want to find at the samba logs which user has deleted the file. I´m using the audit-vfs module but there are only messages about opening and closing of files. Can anybody give me a hint for using samba logs to find the users I´m searching for? Hallo, we have two dcs in one domain which is located in separate subnets. These subnets are connected by a routed vpn. How must I handle fsmo roles when one of these dcs fails and will maybe be repaired and reconnected? A transfer of the fsmo roles is not possible until the dc is repaired, so should the fsmos be seized from the other dc? Can anybody give me a hint how to handle this
