Problem with zcat uncompressing man pages
...small error to stderr when opening the man page; however, the man page does actually open. The message i get on the terminal is:
zcat: error writing to output: Broken pipe
zcat: /usr/local/man/man5/muttrc.5.gz: uncompress failed
When closing the man page, another message is shown on stderr:
grotty:<standard input> (<standard input>):54131:fatal error: output error
Would anyone here know the possible cause and fix for this issue?
Best wishes, Jamie.

committing multiple speculations in a single probe
While using DTrace to track down a problem recently, we came across an
unexpected restriction: the compiler will not permit different
speculations to be committed in the same instance of a probe identifier.
For instance, consider the following useless D script:
#!/usr/sbin/dtrace -s
#pragma D option nspec=2
BEGIN {
spec1 = speculation();
spec2 = speculation();
}
END {

manually invoking routing?
Hey folks. I have a rails controller which is filtering search results
for access control. The search results are typically URLs into the rest
of the rails app. I''m finding it would simplify the grotty code which is
accumulating if I could manually invoke the router. That is to say, if I
could send something a URI path string and get back the hash of
controller, action, and params that would be invoked if this had been a
real request. Is this possible?

DID/CID doesn't match "." (dot) in CID field
Hi all,
using Skype for Asterisk I have the following problem.
In my dialplan I need to have a CID matching (example.skype) over a DID
(test.skype) :
[example]
exten => test.skype/example.skype,1, NoOp(nothing)
exten => test.skype/example.skype,n, Hangup()
Where test.skype and example.skype are Skype business account.
In this case, when I get a :

for those of us who prefer 80 column screens, and 1 item per line.
2. label-specific APPEND adds onto global APPEND
( currently replaces it IIUC )
maybe this needs a separate keyword ADDAPPEND
(255 char limit still applies im sure)
3. strip trailing # comments

Paravirtualised drivers for fully virtualised domains
(The list appears to have eaten my previous attempt to send this.
Apologies if you receive multiple copies.)
The attached patches allow you to use paravirtualised network and
block interfaces from fully virtualised domains, based on Intel''s
patches from a few months ago. These are significantly faster than
the equivalent ioemu devices, sometimes by more than an order of
magnitude.

snv_110 -> snv_121 produces checksum errors on Raid-Z pool
I have a 5-500GB disk Raid-Z pool that has been producing checksum errors right after upgrading SXCE to build 121. They seem to be randomly occurring on all 5 disks, so it doesn''t look like a disk failure situation.
Repeatingly running a scrub on the pools randomly repairs between 20 and a few hundred checksum errors.
Since I hadn''t physically touched the machine, it seems a

How to install programs in wine?
I am a rank newbie to Linux and wine.
I am running Ubuntu Dapper on an AMD 1800 mhz machine, wine 0.9.15
Everything I have read says use the installer to load windows programs.
Where is the installer?
Thanks,

Best 1.5TB drives for consumer RAID?
Which consumer-priced 1.5TB drives do people currently recommend?
I had zero read/write/checksum errors so far in 2 years with my trusty old Western Digital WD7500AAKS drives, but now I want to upgrade to a new set of drives that are big, reliable and cheap.
As of Jan 2010 it seems the price sweet spot is the 1.5TB drives.
As I had a lot of success with Western Digital drives I thought I would

chan_h323 and ToS
Hi all,
I'm using asterisk 1.4.26.2.
I need to set TOS on H.323 channel.
Does chan_h323.conf support "tos" (or "tos_audio") statement, as well as
sip.conf and iax.conf ?
Thanks,
Daniel
