Grim Fandango in wine
Hey all, It's a thorn in my side, I had monkey island 3 running in wine, but this one just doesn't cooperate. The setup program exits with a problem copying install files (error 112, if it means anything). If anyone has got it working, let me know. Thanks

As soon as I run e2fsck -p, these inodes will be deleted and I will lose data, correct? I suspect the cause of this issue was multiple hosts mounting this filesystem r/w. Does anyone know of any method that could be used to recover this data? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -...

multiple paired t-tests without loops
I am new to R and I suspect my problem is easily solved, but I haven't been able to figure it out without using loops. I am trying to implement Blair & Karniski's (1993) permutation test. I've included a sample data frame below. This data frame represents the conditional means (C1, C2) for 3 subjects in 2 consecutive samples of a continuous data set (e.g. ERP waveform).

...and most times better, faster, and more secure anyway. So with that, There's only a few things I want to run in Wine, mostly older games I have hanging around since the Win95 era. Mostly stuff that doesn't run in SCUMMVM or DOSBOX. Such as Baldur's Gate II, Escape From Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, and other such classics.

[Bug 109330] New: GL_ALPHA_BITS set to non-zero with EGL_PLATFORM_GBM_MESA
...lpha channel is present. 3. Try to read pixels with glReadPixels and GL_BGRA_EXT. The resulting image has an alpha channel which sets the pixels to be completely transparent. Editing the image with gimp reveals that inverting the alpha channel makes the image correct. Software is wlroots [1] with grim [2]. To reproduce, compile both, start rootston, run grim. ...ssible to deal with this by symbol hiding - except for the fact that some applications will want to "open the hatch" and bypass the provided POSIX API to deal with Xen features directly. The alternative would be to write an emulated gntdev with an emulated ioctl etc., which would just be grim. So I think the best solution is to rename the functions in minios to use names starting with _. External symbols starting with _ are reserved (by the C specification) for "the implementation", which is what we are. I will also probably find that I want to #ifdef out some bits of minio...

Steam crashes upon launching (Mint Katya)
I had just installed Linux Mint katya on my Dell Dimension 5000 computer because Windows kept making it lag and so on. I installed Wine and Steam soon after installing it, but whenever I tried to launch Steam it always crashes and quits as soon as the welcome and update screens pop up. I've googled for solutions to this problem and they have come to nil.

I'm running FC3 and Samba 3.0.14a. I'm trying to work through Exercise 2.3 of the on-line Samba-3 by Example, and mostly things ore OK, but I can't get my print share to show up when I run smbclient -L localhost -U %. Everything else shows up correctly (although I do get two workgroups to appear, as there is another workgroup to which I used to belong before I separated from it (I

Overview of Ruby 1.9 encoding problem tickets
...e for explanations. This is a long read. I wanted to include all the relevant information in one place. I also included information about related tickets in LH and their status. I decided that adding parts of this to LH would just add to the confusion. Two patches are included (one is from Andrew Grim) that should fix one issue (#2188) in a way, that fixes the problem and doesn''t break anything. Two small steps for Rails, one giant step for proper encoding support. I hope. I welcome any feedback that would help get Rails closer to fully supporting Ruby 1.9 and vice-versa. SOLUTION: --...
