DNS and DHCP setup
...anyone know of a document that gives details on how to set up Bind
9 and DHCPD 3.x so that dns is updated when clients log on?
I saw this is not in the howto collection
(http://www.bibsyst.no/samba/docs/man/DNSDHCP.html#id2981727) so I was
kind of hoping someone else has some notes.
I would be greatfull for any tips and links.

Plotting pdf of function
Hi Guys,
I'm a numbie to R.
I searched the forum for plotting pdf's of functions but couldn't find one
that explained my question.
I have been asked to plot the pdf fX(x) = 1/pi(1+x^2). -infinity < x <
infinity.
I would be greatfull if someone might point me to a webpage that might give
me a hand.
Kindest regards

If someone could point me in the right direction/maybe someone has some

Programming problem.
Hi,
I can't find a nice way to solve a problem. So if you have
some ideas I would be greatfull.
This is the problem.
I can ask a bcmxcp ups what commands it support, if the
firmware is after revision AE.
I was thinking about to use this in the driver. For example
' a ups that don't support battery_test would not have this
command enabled.'
The hex responce look like this from...

Speed up plotting to MSWindows graphics window
...because of the very different
scales (rpm-10000, flags -1to3)
I am going to do some resampling of the logged data to reduce the vector
sizes.
(removal of *less* important data and use of window.ts())
But I am currently running out of ideas...
So if sombody could point out something, I would be greatfull.

mixture of text and numbers. I have tried to convert the output solution to
a matrix or a dataframe but is not possible because of the text in the

If somebody have an idea of how to view the output of the analysis in a good
way, I would have been really greatfull
Thank you an advance

How to join a win2k-domain using Samba 2.*
...ther I'm doing the right thing or not, but it works for me where samba's howto failed. The reason that I need to run smbpasswd twice may be because of an authentication problem with the server (the server may be running in wrong "mode"). I anyone has any clue about this I would be greatfull if he/she could drop me a line. Also, if you've get stuck anyway you're free to contact me if you've got questions.

Problem with Samba 2.0.5 and Q&A
...tabases must be set
to "Allow" rather than "Automatic" (File / Design a file / Secure a file /
Declare Sharing Mode).
As you can see I have done some homework on this.. and have a fair amount of
samba experience... If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem I
would be greatfull.
If I don't get this resolved in the next few hours I am going to have to
rebuild a nice
PIII SuSE Linux server into a NT box :(
Cheers and TIA

Problems joining Win XP to PDC.
..., Suse 8.2.
When I join the client to the server, I cannot add the Administrator to
any of the local accounts. Instead I get an error stating that there is
a "broken trust relationship" between the client and the server.
Has anyone experienced this before, and know why it happens?
I am greatfull for any help, and hints you might provide me with.

Globalize and acts_as_versioned
The subject says it all: Has anyone had any experience with using
globalize and acts_as_versioned (or equivalent) together. That is, I
would like the version control to take the locales into account, the
en-US translation could be on version 7 while the fr-FR version is 3.
Am thinking about extending these plugins but maybe someone has
already done this?
Tanks in advance.
