Grapics Device Resolution Limits
Note that there are at least 5 separate png() devices, so Linux was not
using the (default) device used on Windows.
In general, the device-limits info is not on the help page because we do
not know it. On Windows the default device limits depend on the OS
version, 32/64-bit, RAM and the graphics hardware. This sounds like the
last: you were asking for 49 megapixels which is far larger than

Grapics Device Resolution Limits
Good day,
Could the documentation of graphics devices give some explanation of how big the bitmap limits are? For example,
> png("Figure1A.png", h = 7, w = 7, res = 1000, units = "cm")
Results in Error: unable to start png() device, but the help page of devices doesn't explain that there are any limits or how they are determined. The wording of the error message could

plot() help
Please forgive my ignorance on grapics. I'm trying to make a relatively
simple plot with two line plots, same axes, by mean over a series of
dates. I can make the plot well like this:
plot(sort(tapply(first.anti.auth.sum,date,mean), partial=1), type="l",
col="yellow",ylim=c(0,2.0))
par(new=TRUE)
plot(sort(tappl...

Printing Error
I guess this could possibly a bug...
Right now my office software runs quite fine with wine, but but unfortunatly I get an error when I try to print documents.
It says (loosely translatet from the german dialog): "There has been an error.
access violation at adress 7E2B8D16 in modul 'winex11.drv" Reading Adress 00000029"
The printer prints anyway and it looks fine but in the

Modify Parameters at system boot
Hi all.
i'm trying to modify some parameters but when system reboots it doesn't
load. For the sysctl if I run sysctl -p then it changes
/etc/sysctl.conf
net.ipv4.netfilter.ip_conntrack_max = 1048576
/etc/modprobe.conf
options ip_conntrack hashsize=131072
after reboot results
cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack_max

Re: some problems with windows(rescale=) (PR#794)
...representation layer to which a programmer can refer. This is the layer where we talk about "let's layout a DIN A3 Paper, let's use 2 inches margins" and so on and this layer should be independent of actual window size (presentation layer).

However, R allows to specify some parameter in absolute measures (e.g. par(mai=)) and more important some parameters are not free of absolute measures as par...

[Bug 98852] New: Nvidia graphics card fan not running or to slow, danger of overheating
...Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
Assignee: nouveau at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: susebugzilla at online.de

I upgraded from Opensuse 42.1 to 42.2.
I have a nvidia geforce GT240 grapics card in my system.
When i start opensuse Leap 42.2, the fan of the graphics card
stops, it starts running very slowly, after the cooler of the card
has become very hot.
During the installation of opensuse 42.2 the nouveau driver is used.
(When in the dual boot system windows 10 is booted,
