Which imapd?
Hi. What imapd can you recommend for minimum configuration and
maintenance (no Cyrus)? This is for a small shop, so no hard performance
requirements.
I'd prefer one where I don't have to build my own packages (no Courier,
unless packages exist).
Thanks.

what the best ? apt-get? yum or urpmi ?
...lready opinions on the question
(yum is easy to install, more flexible,
but less powerful. and to connect itself itself to the sources +
download the lists of packages even if no update is avaible...... grrr).
So, Wthat need I to use for a Centos-like ditribution?
(It's to intagrate the tool on Gralinux final)
apt-get + synaptic?? yum+yumi???urpmi in command line only ???
Thanks :)

OT: P4 Vs Xeon for Linux
I have just had delivered a new HP Proliant server and it is based on an
Intel Xeon 2.8GHz processor. On site already we have an Acer Altos G310 with
a P4 2.8GHz processor.
The new HP server was destined for another site with about 30 persons to
service some simple file and print sharing and to manage their email
(postfix + MailScanner). The Acer is hosting our Intranet, file and print
sharing

**££!!*** Proliant!
This Proliant (ml330 G3) has an HP CSB-6 (LSI/Megaraid) disk controller that
isn't recognised by the installer.
A quick search on Google reveals drivers from RH7 - AS2.1 but nothing for 3
or 4 unless anyone knows different!? If not I'll just have to disable it and
install a supported RAID card.
Anyone!?

bad keytable
Hello,
I try to install Centos 3 U4, to test if the bug is present as under
Gralinux AS 3 (an other clone of Redhat AS 3) and yes ... this bug is there.
When I try to install the Centos3U4, I choose French keyboard (azerty) ,
French language: no problem.
But after, when want to enter the root passord, or edit the name of a
partition with diskdruid the keyboard is still in US qw...

CentOS 4 Samba - Excel 2002/2003 bug
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
There is a nasty bug on samba, up to 3.0.10, which causes Excel to
incorrectly think a file was changes by someone else.
This is a know issue, fixed on samba 3.0.11 (stock). A patch was
also applied to samba on RHEL 3, but was NOT on RHEL 4.
This patch (samba-3.0.9-excel.patch) will apply cleanly on samba-3.0.10-1.4E.9,
and build without a glinch.

recommends on CentOS + Via Epia CN10000EG
I'm considering building a network gateway using a Via EpiaCN10000EG
motherboard like seen here:
http://www.logicsupply.com/product_info.php/cPath/79/products_id/444
I've heard that this is a pretty recent mobo and drivers for it are in
Ubuntu but that a 2.6.9.x CentOS kernel might have troubles with it.
Anyone have any opinions on this mobo?
Thanks
