Least Cost Routing - Are you doing it? What are you using?
Greetings.
I've been playing with the TrollPhone Rate Engine Addon for a week or so.
I'm curious what is being used out there for LCR applications?
I've run into a stump with the Rate Engine and that is the costing is done
with an integer. With this, how do you put in say 0.014 / minute rate. And
if your periods are not 60 seconds.. well.. then you have even more places

Packet8 and Asterisk, do they play nice?
Has anyone gotten Packet8 setup as a sip trunk for Asterisk? Would they be
so kind as to share their config or point me to a website that shows how it
can be done?
I would be much obliged.

color vectors other than gray()
I'm trying to create a graph where different cells of a grid (a shapefile)
will be painted with a color share scale, where the most easy way is to use
gray().
Can I somehow get a vector (gradient) of colors, a vector of colors with
other methods but gray()?
I'm doing this until now
quad_N_sp <-
merge(sp_dist[sp_dist$sp==splist[i],],grelha_ID,by.x="quad",by.y="quadricula
",all.y=T,)
quad_N_sp$x[is.na(quad_N_sp$x)] <- 0
quad_N_sp <- quad_N_sp...

imap idle on non-inbox?
Can this be done with dovecot? I really like the imap idle feature, but
it doesn't work for me because I sort my mail into folders with
procmail, so it only notifies me when one drops into inbox and not a
subfolder.
Is there just an option for this I'm missing, or does support for this
not exist yet?
Also, I don't think its a client issue as I watched the traffic with

Asterisk 1.0.3 no RedHat zaptel script?
Just out of interest, why is there no zaptel script included in the
tarballs of 1.0.3?
I used to use the RPMS but they haven't been updated for some time but now
I'm missing the zaptel init.d script.
Or should I have the modules loaded another way?
Cheers!

Network Busy Error
I had a similar problem at one stage, which it appeared was the result of my
Linux system trying to resolve the clients name/ip address. I found this out
by switching off DNS search (on my RedHat Linux systems it was in
/etc/resolv.conf).
Anyway, I also use 192.168.x.x address on my internal network, so I made
sure my local DNS server was setup as the Primary DNS for the

PAM with Samba
Hi,
I am trying to get my Samba installation to use PAM under Ubuntu. I have created the /etc/pam.d/samba, but as far as I can tell samba is not using the directives in there. I have ssh and netatalk using PAM successfully against a Kerberos ticket issuer, so I know my PAM installation is working for some services. I am sure I have something wrong in my smb.conf as I am a bit of a newbie with

NPA NXX data
HI all - I know, slightly off list, but.. I'm looking for a NPA NXX database with City and State. Actually it's for an Asterisk routing app I'm working on. I see several vendors that want a few bucks to those that want an arm and leg. I expect this is published somewhere by some government agency, but Google hasn't got me to it yet.
