I am working to transition a primary school to Linux on the desktop. So far, the only stop I've encountered is getting their gradebook software to run. They use ThinkWave Educator. I have this problem reported when running a Win3x application: fixme:hook:SetWindowsHookEx16 hook type 1 broken in Win16 I have searched and found this exact error and similar ones (up to fixme:hook:SetWindowsHookEx16) reported as part of other error messages, but I haven't seen what to do about it. It seems this is the only error I am getting. What can I do about it? What does it mean?

...kay and as long as the system has not been powered down IGPRO works as designed. However when the system is shut completely down so the box can be moved to a teacher's classroom there is a problem. When the computer is started and the program launched everything runs okay until the actual gradebook file is selected then IGPRO quits. The computer data base has been updated both before and after wine and IGPRO were installed. Any help is most welcome as we are trying to transition our school totally away from Windows before the school year is out. Thanks Pat

Hi, I'm new to Wine and to Linux / Ubuntu in general. I'm trying to use Ubuntu as much as possible, so I wanted to use wine to run a gradebook program - Thinkwave Educator. However, I keep getting the following error message: Runtime Error 429 ActiveX Component Can't Create Object What can I do? Is there any way that I can get this program running?
