Transferring SelectionDAG code ownership
As I’m sure many of you have noticed, I no longer have the time to be a proper code owner for SelectionDAG. In the interest of the project and to keep development running smoothly, I am resigning my code ownership. Justin Bogner has graciously volunteered to take it up. He has a strong history of LLVM contributions, a demonstrated commitment to good community development practices, and has experience shaving the infinite herd of SelectionDAG yaks. I am happy to recommend Justin take over the SelectionDAG code ownership, pending the app...

succession time series graph
Dear gracious R community, I would like to produce charts of phytoplankton biomass changes through time. Each species has a line, and the biomass varies in mirror form along the line for each species along the X time axis. Here is an example of what I'd like to do: http://www.er.uqam.ca/nobel/r30240/Succession.jpg Any suggestions? Thanks David Bird UQAM, Montreal

OT: DS3 -> VoIP Hardware Recommendations
...erisk is 729, and no features are needed, I think it can handle the routing. If not, I can whip up a SER box. We currently have a Cisco 7206VXR (1 voice resource) and a Cisco AS5300 (120 voice resources). The DS3 will also have SS7 signaling on it. Recommendations/comments/concerns/rants are graciously welcomed. Thanks, Matthew

UseR! 2010 - my impressions
Dear UseRs!, Everything about UseR! 2010 was terrific! I really mean "everything" - the tutorials, invited talks, kaleidoscope sessions, focus sessions, breakfast, snacks, lunch, conference dinner, shuttle services, and the participants. The organization was fabulous. NIST were gracious hosts, and provided top notch facilities. The rousing speech by Antonio Possolo, who is the chief

Verisign Payflow Scripts
Here''s a link to the Verisign scripts we used... We customized ours a bit but this will get you going. Graciously provided by Jon at Slantwise Design and posted with permission (http://www.slantwisedesign.com), these may make it into some other format someday (gem? Plug in?). Anyway, of course, no warranty with this code, use at your own risk and really no support - you''ll have to get that going on...

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] Status of SEH?
...legal system or interpretation. What next, turn people away because they have a funny name? Reject patches because their skin color is different to yours? I'm disappointed that you've tried to defend what is clearly repeated and inexcusable behaviour by Chandler towards people who are graciously trying to help out. In so far as there is a community, we must stand up distance ourselves from behaviour like that. (This is becoming OT for cfe-dev, moving the thread to llvm-dev. Let's refocus into a more productive mode and and roll a patch already?) Alp. -- http://www.nuanti.com th...

download/retain text file structure with RCurl/getURL()
Dear list, I'm trying to download a text file directly from the internet using the RCurl package and the command getURL. Duncan Lang graciously helped me solve the first step in this problem using the following command: ################# txtfile <- getURL('ftp://ftp.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/data/snow/snow_course/table/history/idaho/13e19.txt', ftp.use.epsv = FALSE) ################# This brings the text file into R in a single lon...

Thanks to all for your previous help. I see now that my problem is converting my .csv file of data into a matrix. My example is a (3x3) matrix with a "header" row (that doesn't contain numerics). Thanks again for your time and gracious consideration.

[LLVMdev] r98938 broke argument passing on MSP430?
...ehavior.  Seems like > r98938 either introduced a bug in DAGISelMatcherGen.cpp or exposed a > bug in MSP430InstrInfo.td (or similar).  That's Chris's commit; could > he or someone else who's comfortable with LLVM internals (I'm not) > help me root out the problem? Anton graciously helped me out of band. I'm attaching his patch (recomputed against ToT), which fixes a bug in MSP430InstrInfo.td. I'm afraid I don't know how to write a testcase for this bug. (Key insight from Anton: attaching "SDNPVariadic" to "MSP430call" indicates that the *ins...

[LLVMdev] understanding of getelementptr with a const string
I'm working through some very basic IR code and got a bit confused by the string printing example. In particular, if you have a constant string like: @.str = private unnamed_addr constant [4 x i8] c"%d\0A\00" To pass this as a pointer to a C-function like printf you need to use 2 indexes in getelementptr: %sp = getelementptr [4 x i8]* @.str, i32 0, i32 0 I think I understand

Invalid ICMP error
To anyone who is well versed with samba, I am currently setup with ip masquerading with a cable modem connection to my ISP. I have an error message that continues to show up on my linux box. It says: 10.58.0.1 sent an invalid ICMP error to a broadcast. This means it is my linux box sending an invalid packet out through my modem. This started to happen when I installed samba. So I hav come
