UPS gracefull restart
Hi,
I'm just looking at the code of snmp-ups driver in the source tree.
I'm trying to find out, what can I change in the code to force the
snmp-ups driver to send shutdown command to the upsd to shutdown the
computer when I set up on the UPS via telnet that it should restart
gracefully.
The communication otherwise works perfectly but the gracefull restarts
and turn off. Using apcsmart driver everything goes well. I'm unable
to find the bug in the code - if there is one certainly... ;-)
Can you point me out what to do to make the PC to shutdown when I set
up that the UPS...

Hey,
In the meantime, I submitted a bug. Thanks for the assistence on that.

the gracefull fallback:
- makes the code more complex
+ keeps colConvert implementations limited
+ requires the user to only implement what changed from the default
+ seemed to me to smallest overall effort
In my opinion, gracefull fallback makes the thing better,

...the input expectations in a similar manner to
colClasses.
2) The implementation could eventually "push down" the coercion, e.g.,
calling it on each chunk of an iterative read operation.
The implementation needs work though, and I'm not convinced that coercion
failures should fallback gracefully to the default.
Feature requests fall under a "bug" in bugzilla terminology, so please
submit this there. I think I've made you an account.
Thanks,
Michael

how to identify agi crash cause
Hi,
I have a custom agi which at times does not exit gracefull and crashes in
between. The logging options are set to the maximum but I dont see something
conclusive in the asterisk log.
I have noticed it crash after issuing the "SAY NUMBER" and "GET DATA" agi
commands and the agi is spawned with no apparent reason after that. I tried

registering samba in wins
...solution,
but a lousy one.
I would rather have some way to have samba regularly send name
registration requests to wins. Is there a way to do this?
barring that, is there some interface I can query on samba before
sending it a kill signal to make sure there are no open files? I would
like a 'gracefull' way to have samba resatart.

find and LIKE ''xxx%'' clause
...:
SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE name LIKE ''GOGONAM%''
My problem is the % and the quotes.
>From now, I do like this :
searched_name = params[:name]+''%''
user = MyTable.find(:all, :conditions => ["name LIKE ?", searched_name])
But is there a more gracefull way to do a LIKE find in ActiveRecord ?
Thanks.

Problem:
1. After bootting on a Win95 on one of Comma's local networks

After a 'gracefull' shut down of Cad1 it is deleted from Comma's

Paginate do a Count(*) request before...
Mathieu,
Paginate needs to know how many total records there are when you
create the object so you must either do an SQL COUNT or get all the
records and find the length of the array. If it''s a small data set,
I say find them all once and save yourself the second SQL query. If
it''s a large data set do the COUNT and then only find the records you
want which will save

Belkin USB UPS Not Turning Off
...k yard.
The ups really should be smart enough to take a delayed shutdown command
and be able to do without further commanding from the monitoring nut
running machine, something I would think on the minute or minute-thirty
delay range, giving the controlling nut machine time to complete its own
gracefull shutdown.
Is this capability something that can be bought today? I don't see it
being advertized in the propaganda when looking for replacement. So I've
never completed the autoshutdown procedures, I just let it sit there and
beep until it hits the LB limit. I do see in this new APC, a...
