I reboot two Domain Members (Windows 7). Still showing last username and CTRL + ALT + DEL. Also typed "gpudate /force", didn't help. Also rejoined the clients. gpo client linux sssd does not apply
...39;apply group policies = yes' just run samba-gpupdate, as the python script works okay using winbind, it is unlikely there is anything wrong with the script. This leaves sssd, which doesn't seem to take any part in the process, or the oddjob-gpupdate script, which seems to run the samba-gpudate script or the basic setup of the OS, my money is on the latter. If the process works correctly when using winbind, what is oddjob-gpupdate for ? Does Suse require it ? Rowland

time server = yes
I want my XP clients to update their clocks from my samba server. I have time server = yes in smb.conf, and running ntpd on the server, but my clients aren't updating their clocks. I tried running the command manually logged in as a domain user: net time /setsntp:10.8.2.3 but it just says "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied". Any ideas?
