If I run "gpresult /s OLDDC /user MYDOM\Me" on a command prompt on OLDDC, I get a normal output, listing which GPOs are applied. new thread, old issue been fiddling off-list with tips from Louis over the last days, and putting it back to the list to ask for help from others: 2 samba-4.9.11 DCs 1 samba-4.8.12 DM file server GPOs not working cleanly anymore tried to resync completely etc etc - right now I test gpupdate/gpresult on an older (not productive) W2008R2 server which I use for editing stuff via RSAT/MMC I see a filtered GPO coming from DC2 (=it was read somehow but not executed, OK) but that GPO is NOT visible in the MMC I try to connect directly to DC2, to check things: that GPO isn't there either. show...

...works great but I somehow fail to switch off the password complexity requirements. It is not unlikely that this is because I'm very unexperienced with Windows. I've heard that the password-settings are always a bit tricky and I did exactly what the windows-tutorials say. I've tried gpresult for several users and it always says, that it's ok. Are there any known problems with this setting? Is there a linux-way to check gpo-settings? Is there a step by step tutorial that is known to work with samba4? Thanks in advance, bbb

...lcome to the domain (just for testing) When I login I don't get prompted to to change the password which is past the max days and also the login message does not appear. I did dig in to the registry on the Windows 10 box and can see the login text has been imported in to the settings. If I run GPRESULT /H GPResult.html to get info on the login it does say that under denied GPO that it was denied because it was empty but it's clearly not. Can anyone suggest where the issue may lie or how to debug the issue as am at a loss at the moment Thanks

I have two DC (DC1 and DC2) Samba 4.2.1. In DC1 has 2 pastes in sysvol\ empresa.com.br: Policies and Scripts. But in DC2, the Policies paste there isn't. Is this normal? When I have executed gpresult /r command in Windows client, I verified that DC2 is used to apply GPO for the workstations too. Regards, Márcio
