Slightly OT: Has SILK codec gotten anywhere?
...stumbled upon mentions of a "SILK" codec last night on skypes "skype for sip" information page. I tried looking into it further and found some blog and mailing list posts from 2009 but I can't find any mentions of anything other than skype using the codec. Has the codec not gotten anywhere so far? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SILK

Things have gotten pretty quiet
Has the virtualization hooks work moved to another e-mail list? (Or maybe an IRC channel?) I've been meaning to actually help, but I've gotten distracted. Is there some specific area/set-of-files I can try to help with? I don't want to duplicate effort. John Byrne

configuration request
I've apparently gotten myself into somewhat of a bind. I've been trying to exclude various packages from the different repos, and while I *think* I've gotten a working configuration again, it it still pulling stuff in that I have excluded I think in the right repos, but things I have no use for whatsoever....

has anybody gotten horde working?
...on the web, I see a google thread about somebody saying kronolith shouldn't reset session data, and Jan Schneider, the horde developer, I think, insisting that it must. He seems to have his own idea about how things should work--and I'm beginning to wonder if it actually does. Has anybody gotten this working? By the way, this is CentOS 6.5. How to document man/*.Rd pages with images?
Hi, I?m trying to figure out how to put images into my package?s help documentation. I?ve gotten to the point where I can put the images in the /inst/doc/ directory. I have also gotten to the point where I have package checks without any warnings. I couldn?t find the terms ?picture,? ?image,? or ?graphic? in a text search within the Writing R Extensions: 2 Writing R documentation files <htt...

wine.conf and starcraft
Hi, I just downloaded the .rpm for wine version 20010629 and I have gotten it to work, but I can't find wine.conf anywhere, how do I configure wine? Also I have gotten it to run starcraft, but there are two problems: Doubleclicking doesn't work, and neither do it seem to respond to the keyboard. -- Jan-Fredrik Braseth www.ifi.uio.no/~janfbr/ 2B|!2B

Gotten getent to work but uid off by 1
I have gotten getent to work, but now the uid for files are off by one and some of the gid are off by 4 to 24. So if I copy from one system to another the file ownerships get changed all up. Any work around for this? idmap uid = 10000-20000 idmap gid = 10000-20000

-O1 with clang and gcc
Hi, The binary gotten via clang's `-O1` runs much slower (3x) than that gotten via GCC's `-O1`. Reproducible with: https://github.com/m-chaturvedi/test_valgrind_slowdown We are seeing this difference between gcc and clang at other places as well. The `-O0` and `-O2` times are comparable, however. Are there...

Oracle Adapter on Mac OS X?

News for OS X Users
Sorry things have gone silent on the release front, but I have some good news: I''ve gotten wxruby-swig to build as a OS X framework. This has a couple of ramifications 1) wxruby for the Mac will finally exactly like its Linux and PC counterparts, menu bar and all. 2) Bundling wxruby applications becomes a lot easier. 3) The next binary installer should be able to support darwinports,...

Tivo Desktop 2.1 - Anyone gotten this to work?
Searched the archives, and other then some discussion in March that ended with a log posting, I haven't seen anything on this. The Tivo Desktop software is the one thing that keeps me in a Windows world, and I'd REALLY like to move back to Linux :-) I'm familiar with JavaHMO and their replacement, Galleon. But while those allow you to copy shows to a Linux system, you can't play

Anyone ever gotten Solaris to install from a CentOS PXE server?
Yes and PXE booting the node worked just fine. It was quite some time ago and the process was rather straightforward. This is for x86_64 use-host-decl-names on; filename "/solaris/pxegrub"; next-server <TFTP SERVER IP>; vendor-option-space SUNW; option SUNW.JumpStart-server "<INSTALLATION SERVER IP>:/exports/Solaris/JUMPSTART/x86"; # BE WARNED: No hostnames.

Anyone gotten qemu to operate in bride network mode on centos 4
I have been asking on the qemu list how to get bridge network mode working under centos 4... To no avail. The following script is what I have tried as my /etc/qemu-ifup. It supposedly worked for fedora. #!/bin/sh # # qemu_up # # script to bring up the tun device in QEMU in bridged mode # # This script bridges eth0 and tap0. First take eth0 down, then bring it up with IP 0.0.0.0 # /sbin/ifdown

Has anyone gotten KDiff3 to work on CentOS 4.X?
The Subject: line says it all. I haven't been able to find a KDiff3 RPM (http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net) that will install on CentOS 4, and I am also having problems building it from source (the application that is, not the RPM). I have some users who really want to use KDiff3, so any help/hints are appreciated. Thanks, Alfred

Does advanced menu actually support ontimeout?
I've finally gotten around to playing with the advanced menu, though the complex example is definitely still beyond me. I'm trying to figure out a few basics from it, such as the tab key for line editing (don't know what I've done wrong here since it seems like I copied that part right) and the timeout....
