Samba PDC + LDAP
Hello All, I am trying to setup Samba PDC with LDAP. I installed samba-2.2.8a and openldap-2.1.19. I am using smbldap-tool that bundles with samba-2.2.8a source, for adding user, group and computer name. I was able to add username in ldap using smbldap-useradd.pl, but i find problem in adding machine name. When i try to add machine name i got following error ./smbldap-useradd.pl -w test$

Polycom Blf / Directed Pickup
Would anyone happen to have some examples of polycom configs, specifically the 650 with sidecar for blf. I have the asterisk side all configured since I've set up blf with other types of phones, but I'm missing the polycom side. I've put together a <mac>-directory.xml, and the sidecar now lists numbers as speed dials but does not subscribe to blf.

[newbie] Error: Not an HVM capable platform...
Hi, I''ve run linux off an on for several years. Recently I''ve been using windows (simply for ease), but have gotten so fed up with stability and what not. I had read good things about xen, so I installed suse and was hoping to not give up the 10% of things that I need windows for. I''ve still got windows on a partition and was wondering if I could boot that, but wanted

...a new dataframe How do I get R to create a new data object and add data to it on each interation of the for loop. My test for loops only save the data from last iteration of the loop. Am I missing something really simple? Any recommended reference on loop and control structures in R? Thanks, Gord -- Gordon J. Profiles after a Samba machine rebuild
I lost my Samba machine to a bad disk a few weeks ago, and I had to start from scratch. It was a small home machine and I didn't have backups. However, I make use of profiles and the Win2000 machine is now all screwed up -- it attempts to make new profiles for some users, with some success. If I try to set the permissions on the local Win2k machine to allow control by the user it belongs to on

Windows notification
Good morning everyone, Does anyone know of a way for Samba, or Linux, to send a notification to Windows users, as they log in, that there password has or is expiring in a certain number of days? I've thought about sending a network broadcast using Samba, but I have no idea how to do it automatically, based on a 60 day password life and X number of days warning before it expiring. Right now,
