Ooops did Google just become a carrier :)

Gmail and POP3
Hi everyone, I'm new to this ML.
I have some issue with GMail import settings...
I run a dovecot server (2.3.4.1) on Debian10 and I try to connect to my
accounts from GMail.
It's work fine from thunderbird in pop3,pop3s, imap, imaps... Submission
work too...
But it won't work on GMail except if I set ssl=yes and
disable_plaintext_auth = no...
Then GMail connect without SSL or

...9;s or than self-
signed certs, and their processes are sometimes garbage, the fuckups of
Symantec being case in point. Symantec even just sold off their whole CA
business to DigiCert; it seems they never really recovered from
generating fake google.com certificates two years ago:

To get back on topic: if the OP can live with self-signed certs, that's
perfectly fine. If Alef needs people to be able to connect to his
Dovecot server without verifying/confirming the certificate, a CA like
Let's Encrypt is a better...

...ret=1: before SSL initialization
Today's announcement[1] about "less secure apps" seems to imply that
POP3/IMAP will soon no longer be an option with G Suite accounts. You
may be better off searching for alternatives rather than trying to get
POP3 to work.

XMSS
Hey there,
I know XMSS support has been experimental for quite some time. Is there
any push to change the status? Just curious more than anything else.

Google 10%
Any thoughts?

ge.html
10% sounds like a bargain for what amounts to "a license server"
Am i missing something?
I'm wondering how this can be used on the asterisk platform?

Bugzilla invalid certificate issues
EV certs attempt validate the identity of the organization that holds them. That is a nice assurance to have from a place that makes the thing that compiles your code.

Preventing crawlers on link_to''s
My understanding was that using the :post=>true on a link_to() was supposed
to prevent search engine crawlers from triggering the link. However, this
does not seem to be working for me. Is there something else that I should
be/can be doing to accomplish this? Thanks.

Implementation of TLS OCSP Stapling
...l my
TLS certificates with the must-staple extension. The great project Let's
Encrypt already supports it:
https://github.com/letsencrypt/boulder/pull/1224
I'm aware most MTAs don't really care about the certificate, but big
players as Google take TLS encryption very seriously:
https://googleblog.blogspot.nl/2016/02/building-safer-web-for-everyone.html
So I would like to know if Dovecot is planning to feature OCSP stapling.
That way I know for sure my "must staple" certificates can be used by
Dovecot. And in my opinion, every TLS offering daemon should be up to
par to the capabil...

Problem with HTTP stream but not HTTPS.

Anyone with RedHat Subscription?
Does Anyone with a RedHat subscription able to give a hint as to what
the solution to the following knowledgebase article is:
https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2801051
I'm having a similar issue with an SFP on a Centos host, and am

From the switch side, I'm not seeing any RX Power from the Centos host.
Thanks in advance

Examples of advanced data visualization
Dear R-help,
I am looking for ideas and presentations of new and advanced data visualization
methods. As an example of what I am searching for, the 'Many Eyes' pages at
http://manyeyes.alphaworks.ibm.com/manyeyes/
may provide a good paradigm. I would be interested even if it will not be easy
to implement such examples in R, e.g. because of the interactive nature of these
