VLAN info
Hello, I'm looking for any information on setting up VLANs to seperate the telephony network from the ordinary network. I have google'd around but haven't found a lot of information in the best way to go about this. Has anyone managed to do this successfully in conjunction with asterisks? If so, could they provide an overview of what they did and how they find it? Did the performance improve after the VLANs were setup? M...

Help a newbie (please!): Samba and WinXP in a non-PDC environment
...nted as /storage. Samba appears to launch correctly (the daemons are running and the share shows up in the clients' network neighborhood). All computers (including the Samba share, if I get it to work) will be part of the WEST-THIRD group. I've tried SWAT. I've tried RTFM. I've Google'd around the 'net. All to no avail. Any advice GREATLY appreciated! Thanks, Greg

Backup and restore for CentOS 5.5
...nnect the USB drive to the system so I can rsync or dd to the drive. 2. I was going to rsync a backup, excluding /proc, /sys, /dev and /tmp, either to a mounted USB drive or to a remote station. I know how to do that but how do I setup the drive up for the restore on the new computer. I have google'd but without success. I would think I need to format the hard drive, then run the LVM tools (<-very ignorant here), and install grub after all the files are in place (maybe mkinitrd too). Is there information avaiable to do this or would some be willing to provide what I would need to a...

Android Java source for icecast streaming
...ly take me a better part of a week to get working with lots of testing and bug fixing. Is there an open-source solution I could potentially leverage? I know there are few Linux projects written in C/C++ that have been ported to the Android NDK, but I'd prefer an Android Java solution. I've Google'd around, but couldn't find anything definitive. Suggestions? Thanks,jSelbie -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast-dev/attachments/20140619/daf470c8/attachment.htm

wafer map drawing
Hello R-Users! Does anyone know of a package to draw/analyze silicon wafer maps? Here are some examples http://www.java2s.com/Code/Java/Chart/JFreeChartWaferMapChartDemo.htm http://dp.pdf.com/site/products/wafermap/binmap.html I've google'd and searched CRAN with no luck. It seems possible for R, given the hexbin and hist2d graphs I saw at the Graph gallery. Thanks, Sam [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Cisco 7961G
...I am having a lot of trouble with the Cisco 7961G phones. I have managed to get them up and running with Asterisk to the point where I can get incoming calls and make outgoing calls. The problem is when I make outgoing calls or extension to extension calls, the calls die after 20 seconds. I have google'd around and came up with little that is of help. The firmware version I am using on the phone is 8.0.4SR1. I have tried tcpdumping the conversation and I see that the phone doesn't send the SIP/SDP ACK packet back to the remote end. Sometimes it does, but that's a rarity. There...

Cisco 7961G + 7914 Expansion Module
...working with Asterisk, I have temporarily moved on to try to get the expansion modules working. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of documentation here either. Does anyone have this combination working (or any 79X1) here? My goal is ultimately to do the monitoring approach. I have Google'd around, but come up with little. I want the office manager to be able to see when the user is on the phone or when the phone is ringing (or even be able to pick it up). I am looking to keep this operation within the SIP space, but if I have to go with SCCP to get this module working (if...

buildinstall cannot find modules

I notice that the filename it says it is unpacking ends with .x86_64.rpm.x86_64. Is that normal? I google'd and found someone else saying theirs did the same thing. Could this be related to why I'm not ending up with an initrd being installed? -- Tracy Reed http://tracyreed.org -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... .ps and .pdf page size differences in FC vs. Debian
...an Sid box. Both boxes are connected to the same shared printer, and both are configured in CUPS to use US Letter paper size. When I posted a question to the FC folks, the consensus was there was a configuration that needed to be done in R to set the proper page for graphics exported. I've google'd for a solution and came up with a check for a locale variable in /etc/sysconfig/i18n to be set to the same as for the lang variable. I tried that, and the results were still incorrectly sized. Three sample graphs of the problem can be seen at this url: http://penguinsolutions.org/math108/...
