Feed a list of filenames to vim
There are some googlable ways to feed a list of filenames to vim, but I stumble on weird results. With my filelist, I try to do cat list | xargs vim ...to edit the files listed in the file "list". Here's what happens: [root at lasso2 tempdir]# ls -l total 8 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 May 17 18:28 a -rw-...

Test for stochastic dominance, non-inferiority test for distributions
Dear R-Users, Is anyone aware of a significance test which allows demonstrating that one distribution dominates another? Let F(t) and G(t) be two distribution functions, the alternative hypothesis would be something like: F(t) >= G(t), for all t null hypothesis: F(t) < G(t), for some t. Best wishes, Matthias PS. This one would be ok, as well: F(t) > G(t), for all t null

allow-query.
Hi, I am using nsd as my authority-only dns servers and find it fast, stable, reliable - all of the design goals you set out for, great. I have a zone that is intended only to be visible to people on my network. In bind I would enforce this with an 'allow-query' configuration directive. I checked the latest 'nsd-for-bind-users' document, and 'allow-query' is not

This fails in some strange ways. There was any helpful message (googlable token), so tried next method. Login into both servers: WINXP>net use \\SRC\testshare /user:Administrator * Type the password for \\SRC\testshare: The command completed successfully. Does raidzN actually protect against bitrot? If yes - how?
..., but we gain enough understanding to deepen into any more specific subject ourselves. Likewise with opensource: yes, the code is there. A developer might read into it and possibly comprehend some in a year or so. Or he could spend a few days midway (when he knows enough to pose hard questions not googlable in some FAQ yet) in yes-no question sessions with the more knowledgeable people, and become ready to work in just a few weeks from start. Wouldn''t that be wonderful for ZFS in general? :) Thanks in advance, //Jim Klimov
