Unknown connection error: (2006) MySQL server has gone away
Hi,
I get the following after a call has finished:
ERROR[6862]:mysql_log: cdr_mysql: Unknown connection error: (2006)
MySQL server has gone away
Does this error message only appear when asterisk makes a new connection
to mysql, because the old connection was stale (and dropped) ?
If so, is there a way to get asterisk to stop reporting this as an error
seeing it seems to write the CDR to

CentOS 3.3 is gone
Now that
http://mirror.centos.org/centos-3/3.3/updates/i386/RPMS/ is gone (be it
by design or error)
I assume that all the patches for a CentOS-3.3 box can be found in
http://mirror.centos.org/centos-3/3.4/updates/i386/RPMS/
Can anyone confirm this?
In other words, Does the 3.4 updates directory contain updates to 3.3
and 3.4?
If the answer is Yes:
Good. Now what about 3.1? Should those

MIT Kerberos tickets gone..
I have the following scenario.
Windows 2K Active Dir server, Samba 3.0.7 running on Solaris 2.8.
Running MIT Kerberos to join and authenticate with the AD. Things work ok,
can join the domain, and can access the samba server from trusted domains as
well as local domain.
However, when doing 'kinit' I have found that the default ticket life was
for 24 hours is seemed. After I reboot

[LLVMdev] Unwinds gone missing
From what I understand, the unwind instruction is implemented only
for the interpreter: there is a -lowerunwind pass for compiling to
other systems which will either lower unwind and invoke to setjmp/
longjmp (slow) or turn invokes into calls and unwinds into abort()s.

glusterfs and samba (file-max limit reached)
Recently a gluster I setup got mounted on a server that exports it
through samba. It appears to work till a point. Unexpectedly on heavy
usage the nodes happen to reach the max file descriptors opened limit
really easily.
Anybody else has experience on it? Is that kind of usage supported.
currently one node seems to have surpassed about 3M open files even if

radrails gone mad
Hi *,
I have been using radrails as an IDE for awhile now and we were getting
along just fine - but recently it has just gone totally postal?!??
I created a new rails app - when I click to expand the folders there is
no framework in place, just the root folder of the app.
To add insult to injury two weeks of work also just disapeered - I kid
you not just gone without any deletion on my part.

Is it? I was just reading the documentation about LLVM's exception handling
and it sounded ideal for my needs. How much of it does not work as the docs

auth(default): vmysql: sql error[3]: MySQL server has gone away
Hi all,
I'm facing this error:
dovecot: auth(default): vmysql: sql error[3]: MySQL server has gone away
I've been reading this list archives and seems to be a resolved issue
(back to 2005), so dovecot should just reconnect but it does not so.
I'm using dovecot 1.1.3 with vpopmail 5.4.25 with this configuration:
# 1.1.3: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf
listen: *:143

I require some assistance with JGR, but following the mailing list link from http://jgr.markushelbig.org/FAQ.html leads me to http://mailman.rz.uni-augsburg.de/mailman/listinfo/stats-rosuda-devel which responds with

I was previously subscribed to this mailing list and want to resubscribe, but where has it gone?

Contos3->5 upgrade, smbmount is gone?
I solemnly puke upon people who break things and call it progress. Get
ye to Redmond.
I upgraded Centos3.8 to Centos5.4; smbmount is gone. Mounting a WinXP
share requires a new instantiation of the old command
smbmount \\\\hostname\\path\\to\\share /local/mount/point -o
ip=123.12.34.234,username=hostname\\my_userid,password=whatever
which should now be

Ignore files gone missing.
Is there a way to have rsync not treat files that have gone
missing (e.g. Maildir messages that have been removed) as errors
while indicating I/O errors and such?

Where has system-config-sound gone?
Hi All,
Just installed 6.4 on a system that might become a Myth Backend. Where's
the normal sound icon gone that usually appears in Gnome? I can see the
intel sound card driver is loaded. Which bits of alsa should be there?
This is what I've got:-
rpm -qa | grep alsa

alsa-utils-1.0.22-5.el6.x86_64

patch for "gone - no logout" output from last(1)
Greetings,
After upgrading one of my systems to the linux 2.6.4 kernel, it started
having problems recording the logout entries in the wtmp file. I traced
this to a bug in loginrec.c, where a variable (line) is declared as an
array of 8 characters. This length is substantially shorter than the 16
character array size of ut_line, so openssh effectively truncates the
pseudo-tty name when the
