Goldbach partitions code
Folks,
I put up a brief note describing my naive attempts to compute Goldbach
partitions, starting with a brute-force approach and refining
progressively.

I'd welcome your suggestions on improvements, alternatives, other
optimisations, esp. to do with space vs time tradeoffs.
Is this an example interesting enough for pedagogical purposes, do you
think?
Please advise.

Dedicated MGS?
This may be in the documentation. If so, I missed it.
If a site has multiple Lustre file systems, the documentation implies
that there only needs to be a single MGS for an entire site
(regardless of the number of file systems). However, I also know

Questions on MDT inode size
Hi,
The documentation warns about using smaller inodes than 512 bytes on the
MDT. If I plan to use a stripecount of one (I have many small files), is
it possible to use an inode size of 256 bytes and still use in-inode EAs
for metadata ?
Thanks

Problem: Samba terminates
Hi,
I have at home two PC's, one is running Windows 2000, the other SuSE Linux
7.3. (Samba 2.2.1) They have a direct Ethernet connection.
The Problem I have with Samba is that when I copy a big file (i.e.30 MB) in
what ever direction and more than one file is to copy, the network
connection terminates after the big file is copied. I must then restart the
Linux machine to make the network work
