Multiple default providers for service: init, base; using init
I have a bunch of CentOS machines. In the process of puppetizing one of them
I''m getting this warning (more complete debug info at the end):
warning: Found multiple default providers for service: init, base; using
init
info: /Service[gmond]: Provider init does not support features enableable;
not managing attribute enable
Given that all of my instances are running the same OS and should be
identical, and none of my other instances are exhibiting this problem,
something on this instance must be slightly different.

ldapcmp issue
...never able to run ldapcmp successfully.
So yesterday I installed a platform to fill piece by piece my two small DCs
and to run ldapcmp. The process follows.
Test platform: 2 DCs using Debian 8.1 "net install" with only system tools,
up to date, almost nothing added (munin-node, vim, ssh, gmond) and using
Sernet Samba version 4.2.3.
DC with FSMO is named deb1.domain.tld and provisioned with:
samba-tool domain provision --use-rfc2307 --server-role=dc
--realm=domain.tld --domain=domain --adminpass=Passw0rd
Backup DC is joined using:
samba-tool domain join domain.tld dc -Uadministrator --r...

UC OT: A lightweight monitor software
...some great answers, but I want to throw in another
susggestio : ganglia. Its provided in rpm form at EPEL ( including
ganglia-web ), and if you have a trusted network, and multicast is
considered ok - you wont need to do any config beyond install, and make
2 config changes in the main /etc/ganglia/gmond.conf file on each of the
nodes

Puppet system deployment hanging ..
We have successfully installed puppet on a CentOS Server, but I am
battling with a deployment.
It has to do with grid software. The repository gets created, then
begins installation.
The problem is that it just hangs - no errors, no network activity. I
can see puppet is running, but nothing it being updated.
Any pointers ?

OT: A lightweight monitor software
Hi all,
I have a test lab installed over an ESXi 5.1 host that contains 5
CentOS vm guests. I would like to monitor CPU, RAM and Network for
these vm and ESXi host. Zabbix and Nagios are too to accomplish this
task. Does anyone know any lightweight openosurce soft to do this??
Thanks.
