What is glustershd ?
Hi Gluster users !
In the process of upgrading a Gluster 3.0.0 platform to 3.3.0, I'm trying
to understand how GlusterFS 3.3.0 is working.
I can't find any documentation which explains what's the role of glustershd.
The only thing I (think I) understand is that the glustershd-server.vol is
only generated for replicated volumes. It contains a cluster/replicate
volume which replicate my bricks. It's the same pattern I found in
<volname>-fuse.vol.

Glustershd error - Cannot assign requested address to port 24007
Hello,
I created a small cluster with 5 servers on ubuntu 16.04 and everything is
working ok so far, but I experience a weird problem with glustershd. On all
servers I get following error:

glusterfs 3.3 self-heal daemon crash and can't be started

Hi ,
I need some clarification for below error msg in the glustershd.log file.
What is this msg? Why is this showing up?. currently using glusterfs 3.10.1
when ever I start write process to volume (volume mounted thru fuse) I am
seeing this kind of error and glustershd process consumes some percentage
of cpu until write process completes.

0-client_t: null client [Invalid argument] & high CPU usage (Gluster 3.12)
Howdy,
I'm setting up several gluster 3.12 clusters running on CentOS 7 and have having issues with glusterd.log and glustershd.log both being filled with errors relating to null client errors and client-callback functions.
They seem to be related to high CPU usage across the nodes although I don't have a way of confirming that (suggestions welcomed!).

Gluster operations speed limit
Adding Mohit who is experimenting with cgroups has found some way to
restrict glustershd's CPU usage using cgroups. Mohit maybe you want to
share the steps we need to follow to apply cgroups only to glustershd.
